2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
"Having participated in bench-press testing only at the NFL Scouting Combine (18 reps), Foreman had plenty of work to do for his pro-day workout. When he was done, scouts had plenty to like. He weighed in at 234 pounds and clocked a pair of 4.45 40-yard dashes, per NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt, making for a size/speed combination that analyst Lance Zierlein described as "big-time." The speed Foreman showed Tuesday would have made some combine history had he run a 4.45 in Indianapolis; in modern combine annals (since 2003), no running back weighing 232 pounds or more has run as fast as Foreman did, per Brandt. He also turned in a 33-inch vertical jump. Of the 15 running backs to jump higher than 33 inches at the combine, none weighed in as heavy as Foreman did Tuesday."

I've been impressed with Foreman specifically for the Browns needs, others haven't talked him up much. I see him as a Jordan Howard or Lagerrette Blount type back who can split time in a committee approach. He isn't much of receiver and needs work as a pass protector, but that is why some teams won't have any need for his skill set and will let him slide.

Are you willing to post some samples of things that really jumped out to you?

If you can, it would be greatly appreciated!
I will from time to time. I haven't had time to dig into it yet but plan to do a little this AM.

I'll post his reports on all of our picks when we make them.

@arizona can you add a poll to the thread for what people think we do at 12?

That 12 pick might be the most "interesting" pick we have had in 10 years, maybe since the back to back #1 pick of couch and brown.

Reason is this is a very deep draft up top, 15 players are "top 5 talent" in my opinion. We dont know what other teams will do ahead of us, have needs at almost every position except OL, plus our need for a QB might make us "reach" on one there.

Couple these facts with this front office's love of trading back and acquiring assets and we just have a plethora of options.

He's probably right but no coach comes out and says that.

Also, if Kizer wanted to succeed at the NFL level as a Quarterback he should return to college football and play for a coach that isn't Brian Kelly.

I find this to be hilarious. I think Kizer is a cocky prick, so I kind of like it. They both are.

Yeah... a coach shouldn't say that. It will impact recruiting. Players go to these schools to be churned out into high draft picks as quickly as they can be. That's the end goal. A coach who consistently gets in the way of that isn't going to have as much recruiting success.

If you were a Notre Dame recruit's parents, what are you thinking about at this point?

I don't see how that benefits the coach, player or program.

Kizer is going to be a first or second day selection, which means he'll likely be making a shade less than what Brian Kelly makes to finish with 5 wins in South Bend.

Go get your money, DeShone.

Can't believe he's still coaching there as it is. Goodness. If I was a Notre Dame fan I'd be so pissed.
