Im torn between using a princess bride reference in regardes to the use of the word "analytics" or just saying schelfer has no idea what the word "analytics" means. So i went witg both

With all the reports out, starting to get worried this the Browns way of prepping their fans we are getting ready to fuck up the draft by taking a QB at 1 vs. what's considered one of the best Def prospects in the past few years.
 
So if we go QB at one, the only hope is it starts a run on QBs and we have a good defensive player fall to 12. But my worry is if we take a QB at 1, do we end up taking Howard at 12 to give the QB his TE?

Was just coming here to say this. Heard that was the new common thought amongst NFL insiders per Mike & Mike. If we blow our load on Trubisky at #1, he better show me something his first year or i'm done.

I probably wont pick a new team, i'll just follow all the buckeyes for a year.

I wouldn't get to up or down based on who we select. The team is far away. We should be selecting the player we think will be most impactful down the road. Do I think that guy is Trubisky? No, I don't but I've been wrong on a lot of players through the years.

Directionally, I think the team finally has a competent front office and coaching staff. If they decide to take a QB, so be it. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until they make a terrible decision. This would look like it could potentially be that but who knows. Guess we'll see.

It sounds like McShay believes that's what will happen too.

He hedged slightly but someone is feeding the ESPN guys the info that we'll take Trubisky #1.

Doesn't mean we will but there seem to be some really strong signals.

Also seems like a situation where it makes no sense to leak this as a way to leverage someone.

I would assume if guys who are connected around the NFL think this is going to happen, it probably will. We'll see.

I agree you leak this so that when you take him at 1, the fans knew it was coming. A lot of fans are going to be upset, because the media has been playing it up that none of these QBs are worth a 1st round pick and that Wenz was a better prospect that we passed on. We also are passing on what the media sees as one of the better defensive prospects that could be a impact player from day 1. Look no further then what Bosa did for San Diago and think We could have had a player rated as a better prospect.
