2017 MLB Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Crazy thing is, right now there is no clear picture on the market after Moreland signed.

Baltimore is tied to Trumbo and Chris Carter
We are tied to Encarnacion, Napoli, Carter, and Lind
Colorado is tied to Trumbo and Encarnacion
Texas is tied to Napoli and Trumbo

Lot of overlap there. 1 guy goes somewhere and shit can go down in a hurry I bet.

All hell could break loose if:

-Baltimore signs Carter
-Texas signs Nap
-Colorado signs Trumbo

All could easily happen.

It's funny you say that, because if I had to guess what was most likely to happen based on rumors/what GMs are saying, that would be it...

Also, the fact that the Indians could have easily beaten this offer if they wanted to (as they did with Naps 7+ incentives deal last winter) tells you they have their eyes on something else at the moment...

I wonder what or who is on the list. As someone pointed out they do not have the ability to let these guys fly off the board so something is up.

I'm guessing they have Napoli ahead of Moreland as far as preferences go. I wouldn't be surprised if they were focused in on him and Edwin and they feel good they will come away with one of them.

A RH hitting 1B who can hit LHP makes much more sense as well, which probably played into it a bit.

Yeah this is what I am thinking as either one or the other is in play and we are waiting on word from EE is my guess with a offer in place for Nap.

Big thing with the Rockies w/regards to Trumbo, and Edwin as well, is that their draft pick is protected, so they wouldn't lose it by signing either of them.

Wait, are you positive about that? I've read the opposite.

The Rockies pick 11th, if I'm not mistaken.
