2017 Series #31 -|- Indians @ White Sox

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I thought Bimbo walked in and walked out?

He did in the other thread, but he graced us with his presence in this one luckily!

I mean shit man.

I haven't posted in here in like 3 weeks, and I thought 1 post in I'm already getting the snark treatment...

Like I can't be that bad...I may take hard stances, but my stances have turned out to be true fairly often. But I digress.

Also, gotta say...nice to see sportscoach and b00bie got along well while I was gone.

I was about to say, you should know we are bros! Me and b00bie that is :chuckle: I don't mind your hard stances since you at least support what you say and prove why you are right with actual information.

Zimmer will rarely start against a LH pitcher, so when you see a lefty starter it's a good probability Zimmer isnt going to start.

More than likely unless we go and acquire another Starter/late innings style of LHP, one of the guys in the current rotation will finish the season in the pen.

Salazar actually may be the best candidate since it would be nice to see a 97-98 mph fastball coming in the 6th inning if need be a few times a week. He would actually in theory be a pretty good weapon that way.

100% chance that as long as Salazar is healthy, he's in the rotation.

Also, it'll be at least 2 of our current starters coming out of the pen come playoff time. I'd guess Clevinger, and Tomlin.

It also depends on who (if anyone) we acquire at the trade deadline to who ends up in the pen. I would hope Salazar can do what Zimmer has done and make me look like a dumbass lol

When he's healthy, he's proven to be a top-end starter. So, yeah, if he's healthy he's going to make you look silly.

It's either rotation or DL for Salazar.

I am okay with Salazar making me look silly since that is a good thing for the team. When I have a negative comment about a guy, I am okay if they prove me wrong! Either way though a healthy Salazar can make an impact from the rotation or the bullpen at the end of the day.

Salazar looks as healthy as he has since the first half of last season right now.

If that proves to be true for the rest of the season, we have 3 aces between him, Kluber, and Carrasco. Big if though, since his elbow or shoulder could come back and nag him again. But if he holds up, you absolutely cannot take him out of the rotation.

But I will say, and I'm trying to get some screen shots or footage to see if it's the case, but it looks like he changed his arm slot while working with Tony Arnold and Ruben Niebla in Akron, who are 2 guys who got him back on track after his Tommy John while he was in the minors.

If he did in fact change his arm slot or tinker with his mechanics to protect him a bit better, it would explain the curiously poor early rehab games as well.

Try to show what I find if I can find it.

Indians finally punking fools.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Only way he ends up in the pen is if he finished the season on the DL and comes back without any chance to rehab.

I was at the game for his first start back and he didn't look like Salazar of this season. He looked and felt like a completely different pitcher. If he can replicate that style of pitching the rest of the season, he may end up with better numbers than anyone else in this rotation. I am about to watch tonights game since I was working, but I am hoping he can show up for the rest of the season with the Salazar I saw in that start. (I almost always end up at a game where Salazar is pitching so I have watched him more than anyone else on this team)

Most fucking underrated pitcher in baseball.

The beat goes on. Whether it's the favorable schedule or this team just finding it's groove, these past two weeks are more what we envisioned at the end of March

Jackson has done so well for us thus far.

Agreed on everything. And I'm still not sold on Salazar although I was very impressed with his first start off of the DL. His second start doesn't help nor hurt the argument that he is "back" in my opinion. If you can't control your fastball good teams are gonna beat you, bottom line.
