I actually think the Raptors and Spurs both benefited from the Kawhi trade.

Kawhi obviously makes Toronto better, and Danny Green was an underrated add to the trade. He's looked solid as well.

DeRozan has starred in San Antonio thus far. He's going to get the best coaching he could ever ask for and the Murray injury only ups his usage on the team. Poeltl is a young big who could shine after a couple years with Pop's coaching and Gasol/Aldridge's grooming.

Both teams seem to be looking good from it thus far.

By the way Kawhi is playing I wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors that he was completely healthy at the end of last year were true, He looks really good.

I don't know, I think he looks a bit slower on offense but that's to be expected when you've been out of commission for as long as he has. He also sat out against Washington as well.

Although, DeRozen always has looked good in the regular season. He doesn't start shitting the bed until the playoffs.

Damn a 50 point game by Blake Griffin of all people. Really fun Pistons-76ers game overall.

The Pelicans also continue to look really good early in the season.

A big part of it is that his game is limited enough that something as simple as aggressive double-teams stop him. You don’t do that during the regular season. You do during the playoffs.

I’m very interested to see if the Spurs’ system helps him escape that problem. It’s possible he’ll be a different beast.

Clips lost but I'm suprised how well they are playing. Gallinari is a good player if he can ever stay healthy

I don't know why it never occurred to me before - but the rule change to reset the shot clock to 14 instead of 24 on offensive rebounds is probably the main reason for higher scores more than defenses changing. With 10-15 oREB per team per game, That's turning potentially 200-300 dead "reset the offense" seconds per game into actual "try to score" time. That's like adding an entire overtime period to every game. No wonder scores are up.

Casey is a really really good coach. He's found a way to make he most of Blake's skill set. Those 4-5 foul line pick and rolls and all the DHO really take advantage of his handling and vision

"Now, you might not know this about me, but I can really swim. I’m like the black Michael Phelps." Lmaoooo.

Also, I remember everyone doing this in school for years:
