I think the money and the posssibility of playing alongside Embiid and Simmons is enough to persuade him. Jimmy is a relatively simple guy, he wants to compete, he wants to get paid, that's it. The fit between those 3 isn't great but they can work with what they have. For now it's just a matter of bringing in more shooters and defenders.

Ya Butler is staying there money plus playing with Embiid will be all it takes. Also I see them trading for Anthony Davis next year nobody is beating an offer of Ben/Miami’s 1st. A big 3 of Davis/Biid/Butler is a Dynasty

Horford has nosedived this season: is he old? not using to playing to C this much? or it's just Kyrie?
Horford is 32 i believe, but it seems like hes been playing forever. Kyrie led teams seem to lose alot. He gets his stats but the team suffers. Its a beautiful sight to see.

Oooooh, his three point shot finally showed up too. This man is going to be a problem.

He's shot 44% over the last 10 games, he just started out extremely cold. It's so strange because I've been so surprised by anything but his shooting on offense. He's much more effective down low or facing up than I expected and he's been doing damage without the thing I thought would be his bread and butter when it came to scoring the basketball.

I'm not sure I'd say he's nosedived. His numbers are down slightly, but it's really just his 3 point shooting.

Horford is a lot like Draymond - it's his combination of shooting and defense which made them tough. His drop in 3 point shooting really hurt them and his defense has nosedived: I'm not the only one who has noticed this:

Thomas’s breakout was also aided by Horford’s spacing and playmaking. But Horford has underperformed this season; he’s hitting only 32.4 percent of his 3s and struggling to score from the post. But the greater concern is his declining pick-and-roll defense.

Horford has been one of the NBA’s elite defenders for years; he could comfortably switch onto guards and alter shots around the rim using his long wingspan. In the 2018 playoffs, Stevens asked Horford to guard Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid—three stylistically different players. Horford had success against each. This season has been a different story. He has had great moments on defense, but he’s been shredded more frequently on switches against smaller players.

  • Walt Frazier is the best
  • Jaren Jackson looks like a re-incarnation of Kevin Garnett
  • The 2nd pick in the draft continues to be cursed: jeez both Jackson and Doncic were available at 2

I think cursed is a bit strong, Bagley doesn't seem like he's going to be anything close to a bust. He probably won't ever have the same type of impact as Jaren or Luka but I think he'll be more than productive enough for the pick to not leave too sour of an aftertaste.

Any modern day dynasty will need to have either a great point guard or great point forward. Along with great shooters of course. Isn't Simmons signed with clutch sports? I may be wrong.

I believe Simmons is signed with clutch.

Not a bust, but Bagley is looking exactly how most of us thought he would. A guy who puts up numbers, but not much else.

I'm not writing off the young man, that'd be silly, but so far the results have backed up what was seen in college.

One positive thing for Bagley in the early going was that he started off 7/13 from 3, but he's gone 0/9 since then. Looking like a major project on both ends.
