2018 Browns Free Agent Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He also isn't going to agree to come here to be WR4, and if I'm the Browns I'm not breaking the bank to bring back a guy who may have just shown this season that his good previous year was a fluke that was largely the result of him being literally the only capable receiver on the team for most of the year (since Coleman was hurt for a good chunk of last year).

I'm not for giving him anything close to what he wanted last year. I think he can be had for cheap and wants to come back because he realizes his career is on the line. He knows Hue's system better than anyone else. Both Coleman and Gordon are question marks at this point, Pryor can come in to compete and as insurance. Coleman has been hurt for more games than he has played. I'm not counting on Gordon for anything at this point.

Personally, I think it's very telling that the Redskins signed him, then almost immediately decided they'd prefer to hand the reins to Doctson instead of making Pryor their number one guy.

I've felt Pryor's biggest asset was how he knew Hue's system in and out. He could line up at any position. I pretty sure he knows his career is on it's last legs. If he goes to another team and plays like he did for the Redskins he might as well just retire.

I think he is in line for another short prove it deal. With his age and only one year of production, he will have to show something to get a multi-year deal. Sadly Hue might be the only coach that can save his career.

I’d still love to give Pryor another chance. He’s better than Higgins or Louis.

Gordon, Coleman and Landry is a fine top 3 in my opinion.

I don’t really see the need to spend money in free agency on what amounts to a 4th WR.

They can address that at pick 35 or 64 if they want.

When you have Gordon who’s not reliable to stay eligible and Coleman who hasn’t been healthy I absolutely see a reason to have as much talent as possible at that position.

I am not against getting another WR in free agency as long as it is more of a team friendly and not another Britt type of contract. Nothing wrong with bringing back Pryor as long as it is on the Browns terms and not his terms in a sense.

I don’t disagree, but it’s also a matter of opportunity for a free agent to be interested in as well.

As it stands right now, throw out reliability, the Browns have a high end No. 1 WR, a high end slot WR and a young guy who at this point has no excuses to be a quality No. 2.

Injuries will happen, suspensions could happen, but I’m not sure how many quality FA WRs are beating down the door to be fourth in the pecking order.

I would just draft a kid like Kirk or Moore in the second that’s better than the Louis, Higgins, K. Williams group and go from there.

Counting on Gordon has always been a bad idea. I'm not sure we can attract and sign a high quality WR as long as these 3 guys are on the roster but it would be a good idea to get an under the radar guy or a reclamation project like Pryor (Not necessarily saying Pryor).

Pryor isn't exactly known for not wanting his share of touches. What's going to happen if he comes here, Gordon doesn't flame out, and Pryor finds himself needing touches to prove himself?

Perhaps he's the right talent to serve as a backup to Gordon, but I don't think he's the right personality.

It's obvious this team needs a sure handed white guy in the slot.

Lol those guys are probably out of the nfl soon, that is not saying much. I am sure we will look at another WR in free agency but maybe a less known name that has upside like a Jeff Jannis type
I'm all in on this idea
