So Duke tweets about (possibly) loyalty, then we hear reports that the Browns are talking extension with him but also maybe with a FA RB? Hopefully this isn't Duke feeling the Browns are being disloyal to him by talking with someone else.

Interesting -- the FO really is looking to have every hole plugged before the draft. If we had a good RB and a starting-quality CB...what real "holes" do we have left? FO will be free (after using the first pick on a QB) to go BPA from there on out. Much bigger chance of a tradedown at 4, and even Chubb may be in play on the DL.

So Duke tweets about (possibly) loyalty, then we hear reports that the Browns are talking extension with him but also maybe with a FA RB? Hopefully this isn't Duke feeling the Browns are being disloyal to him by talking with someone else.

Duke knows he is not a 3 down back, and today teams have 3 running backs that are decent, their power, their 3rd down receiving, and the break glass in case of emergency back.

I'm not sure what counts as "Very solid" but in my opinion there's really only 1 free agent RB that would pair well with Duke that would keep me from drafting an RB in the early 2nd round and that's Carlos Hyde. Look at the list of free agent RBs. It's pretty poor. If any of those other guys are our main RB, we're in trouble. I think Crowell is below average to average at best, and I'd actually rather keep him than sign most of these other guys.

Bingo!!! If they Sign any RB, I want it to be C Hyde.

I think having some lineman that can block for him, and having another good RB on the roster in Duke, will help with that. Should also help Hyde be more productive.

Would be a good value pickup for the Browns.
