Word is that this most recent story came from Courtney "Taking the High Road" Smith....

But that tweet just proves McMurphy's motives are purely out of spite.

This guy is violating nearly every single one of the SPJ's Code of Ethics and everybody in the national media is hailing him as some sort of hero.

I exchanged tweets with a national media guy who was staunchly defending McMurphy and his reporting. I asked him if he cared to address the edits made to McMurphy's story and the vast discrepancies between his original story and his current story and all I got was "No I don't".... Okay but I'm supposed to just take your word for it, right?

This most recent story, although bizarre, served absolutely no other purpose than to embarrass Zach Smith and the Ohio State football program.
