FWIW, Nevada has remained adamant that Urban is staying on. Despite some twitter rumor that apparently was flying around today.

By Ohio State’s own admission, they won’t even begin to make a decision until tomorrow at the earliest, as they have to give 24 hours public notice before the Board of Trustees convenes.

I’ve heard Tuesday at the earliest, but more likely Wednesday for a public decision.

My feeling is that the need to clean house. I think Urban knew all the stuff with this frat boy/entitled little punk and it got out. Urban lying about it and saying he didn’t know anything was the downfall. We all know he knew all of it and he took the wrong approach. Who knows what else could be out there. Looking at it from a parents point of view and if my son was his recruit, I’d stay away. My feelings have completely changed over the last couple weeks of Urban and the school as a whole.
To save the program, I think everyone needs to go.

I cannot believe I am actually going to agree with you. I think Erb is done. I think the National Media would have a field day if we make an announcement and keep Erb. There is just no way they can keep him. Totally sucks.

If Urban did not follow the rules and tried to cover it up, I 100% agree he needs to be gone. But if he did nothing wrong outside of miss lead the media, but followed all the rules, what kind of message does it send that a mob mentality based of half truths dictated how a university acts. Do you really fire a guy for maybe having to much blind trust with a WR coach, who did not harm or do anything to students.

If Urban reported it up the proper channels and it can be documented, there isn't much else to bitch about beyond saying he should have fired Zach sooner - which everyone needs to wake up. If Urban fires Zach does that necessarily stop abuse? Nope. Does it help the family financially? Nope. It arguably makes their situation worse. So what are we really talking about here, basically proactively firing someone without any formal charges or proof in a "he said, she said" situation.

That is just not a fire-able offense, sorry. If Urban had done it himself, sure. I'll even accept if he had tried to cover it up, fine. But firing because....the media wants us to? Stupid.

I am starting to get this vibe as well. I have a feeling at this point they are trying to get a donor to step up and buy him out. I have a hard time seeing them have cause to fire him. The only hope I still have is the tweet about the porn stuff and Whitehouse, goes to show that the ex wide will do anything to hurt Smith and OSU, and hopefully it helps push the narrative all of this is a hit piece on OSU and Urban. I still think if they bring Urban back midway through the season this blows past the university.

Time to cut bait and start over and make the positive image to everyone in the country.

I'm really wondering how Urban would find out about the White House stuff.

When the Herman stuff was reported, some people said, "Well that doesn't change the issue surrounding Meyer". Which is a fair point. But if Herman being the tipster is immaterial, I don't see how this TMZ level reporting has anything to do with Meyer either.
