2018 Cleveland Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Don't want to keep hijacking the thread, but I am headed to Vegas in a couple weeks and will try In & Out for the first time. But I totally agree w/Hurl. It's completely regional. I don't care how good it is, I will still firmly believe Swenson's has the best burger out there.

It's gonna be interesting down here in Columbus here soon. We are getting 2 Swenson's, a Shake Shack, and Mark Wahlburg just opened up a car dealership down here and said he is bringing a Wahlburgers. Never had Shake Shack/Wahlburgers, so excited to have the chance to try InOut and those 2 for the first time.

Back to football...

Dez? 1 year deal. Know his role. Don't bitch if there are games you get 3 targets/gm. Will try & help him get a contract next year w/another team.

Easy.

Last time I was in Vegas one of the guys on my team needed to go to In-N-Out Burger behind NY/NY. I went with him. He ordered from the 'secret' menu and got his burger and fries "animal style"

It looked gross. I'd take Shake Shack all day long over In-N-Out. Swensons and Skyway are better than all of them.

Yeah it's funny. I took my wife and kids to Cleveland a few weeks ago for five days. The city of S.F. doesn't have a lot of national chain restaurants period, and you have to leave the city to get In n' Out, Five Guys, Wendy's, etc. So we hit up a proper Ohio Wendy's, a Five Guys, and I was going for a new Swenson's that is two miles away from my folks... but my second grader said, "Cleveland has too many burgers, dad." This boy would eat one a day and he was overwhelmed by the options. The West Coast and Vegas have some decent burgers, but their advantage is in their variety of cuisines. Don't leave a trip West without sampling some real higher end Mexican or real Asian food. Thats where it's at out here.

I don’t know the credibility of any of this, but here’s another possible development regarding the Josh Gordon question.

Josh Gordon’s off-season is WAY more complicated than we thought -- the Browns WR is in the middle of a nasty child support war ... and if he doesn't make things right, he could go to jail.

Christina Lockhart has been fighting like hell to get the troubled NFL star to fork over child support for their 3-year-old daughter for years ... but it's been a fight every step of the way. She clearly feels Gordon's screwing her over.

Lockhart recently got a court order forcing Gordon to pay $6,765 per month starting August 1 ... but her lawyer told WKYC she has NOT received the payment.

The child support figure is tied to Gordon's 2018 salary with the Browns -- $800,000 -- but there's a catch.

Gordon's attorney claims in court docs the WR won't get his first paycheck until September 9 -- Week 1 of the NFL season.

But, in court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, the judge clearly outlines the penalty for missing payments -- up to 30 days in jail for the first violation, 60 days for the second violation and 90 days for the third.

We've reached out to Gordon's attorney, Tanja Holecek, for comment -- so far, no word back.

It’s going to be packed, it’s where I tried it for the first and only time.

I guess it's not possible for him to get a loan for a lousy $7G??

It might not be that simple, might be another point they are trying to make. I don't trust the media to get much about the ruling correct except how much he has to pay.

That sounds a lot more like a WAG/pure speculation as to a possibility reason for his absence rather than an actual reason. As both a lawyer and a divorced dad who pays child support, this doesn't make any sense as a reason not to show up to practice/preseason games.

Exactly, and I love they are going to assume the max offense of 30 days on the first missed payment, when they are arguing the timing still on appeal. I don't think the paternity suite has anything to do with him missing time.

Jarvis and Denzel were fined for their penalties last week against the Giants. That’s the softest shit I’ve ever seen by the NFL.
For taunting? LMAO. League somehow becomes a bigger joke every year.

Browns doing a much better job running right now.

We got a Shake Shack in the Cleveland area recently. I personally like it more than Five Guys, although I'd be happy with either. I was happy that it lived up to the hype.

I like them all. Shake Shack, In N Out, Swensons, Wahlburgers, Five Guys, B Spot, Culvers (just opened in Avon), The Rail. Not sure if I have a favorite, but I plan to get either Culvers or Shake Shack next.

I don't think I'll ever have Whataburger again though.
