Allen looked like Kizer last year.Dropping this here becuase the game day thread is dead.
Happy to see Baker find a rythm even if against camp fodder. Reps in any game conditions are valuable for a rookie. Also, good for his confidence to get the offense moving.
That throw for a TD that ended up being overturned was a thing of beauty. Thats the kind of throw #1 overalls should be able to make.
Love seeing him work the pocket. Most rooks jet out at the frst sign of trouble (Allen did this a bunch, but to his credit, to good effect) - but jetting out of the pocket works for maybe a year before it becomes a growth limiter (see RGIII).
Allen looked better than I was expecting. But i do think he benefitted greatly from Nate Orchard, very specifically. A starting quality D-end doesnt whiff on 3 sack opportunities like that.
Let's also not forget to mention that Baker's ability to reset his feet and escape pocket pressure has been incredible.
Exactly, and I love they are going to assume the max offense of 30 days on the first missed payment, when they are arguing the timing still on appeal. I don't think the paternity suite has anything to do with him missing time.
And the judge would have to be an utter jackass to throw him in jail and prevent him from playing in games and earning the checks with which he is supposed to pay the support. He'd get reversed and bitch-slapped by the Court of Appeals.
Agreed, I was thinking the same thing.
I am sure he can get the money, I am guessing something else is going on that we are not privy too.
It feels like the Browns are just being polite by talking to Dez.
A humble man would use the past months, in which Dez has had zero interest from the NFL, even the awful teams, to re-evaluate how he conducts himself and how it has cratered his career along with declining athleticism and change his tune.
Instead he is imposing himself on the Browns trying to generate fake interest. You think he’d look to the wreckage that has been the career of other declining assholes and learn...
The Ego can do bad things to people.
Among the WR's, he's probably behind Gordon, Landry, Higgins, and Calloway in terms of how many targets the Browns would figure for him. At least I'd hope so. That's just among the WR's, and doesn't count either Njoku or Duke.
His ego won't let him see himself as a 5th WR.
I don't know Dez's agent and his relationship to Dorsey but this Dez talk could be Dorsey doing him a solid for his client. The Browns are talking to Dez, rumored to be interested, it'll be a topic on the next Hard Knocks. Dez may not want to come here but if the Browns are showing interest and he behaves well on TV maybe another team would be interested.
If I could only eat one cheeseburger for the rest of my life, it would be a Galley Boy. Goddamn, it's good.
