And if this is the case then were due for another "rebuild" after next year.

What happens if we make it to the Wild Card game with McCarron as the QB? Lol

I am not saying we don’t draft a QB, but I am saying it will be a developmental guy rather than a Rosen. Jackson knows how McCarron will play and do things. There is question marks about every QB in this draft. We have to trust the coach, whoever it is, on the QB evaluations next season, whether or not we agree with it is another matter. If Hue is our coach then his man is likely McCarron (at least for the next two-three seasons)

I don't know if I've ever disagreed with an idea more than this.

NO. MORE. HALF. MEASURES. AT. QUARTERBACK.

Fair or unfair, the Browns - by virtue of what they decided to do over the last two offseasons - have put themselves into a position where the have no choice. They must aggressively address the QB position.

Signing a guy with 160 pass attempts, plugging him in as the starter, and then drafting ANOTHER "developmental" QB (after they've spent a pair of top 100 picks the last two drafts on developmental quarterbacks) is simply unacceptable.

changing a tire is pretty easy

1. Pull to shoulder or to a parking lot and put hazards on. Make sure you are on flat ground. Put car in park and use e brake As needed.

2. Take jack and donut out of trunk.

3. Loosen the lug nuts on the tire while it is still on the ground with the tire iron.

4. Place the jack under the car near the tire, and locate the reinforced steel beam. As you jack the car up (should come with a piece of steel to put through the hole on the jack handle and spin), the jack will have a groove so the reinforced beam fits perfectly in the groove. If you don’t use the beam you will put a hole in the floor of your ride. Always jack on the reinforced beam.

5. Once car is jacked up, (and you are only jacking up one quarter of the car near said tire), remove the already loosened lug nuts and take off the tire.

6. Put donut on, hand tighten lug nuts.

5. Slowly jack the car down. Once on ground, fully tighten the lug nuts.

6. Put flat tire and jack back in trunk. Drive away and don’t go over like 50mph on that donut.

Really it’s easy as hell to change a tire or put a spare on.

In today's cars the hardest thing to do when changing a flat is finding/unpacking all the tools needed. I've got an Audi and stuff is packed in like a jig saw puzzle with little special tools needed (since my axles don't have a normal centering hub).

That said, I actually rotate my own tires (full summers mounted on nice rims to full winters mounted on the original rims) 2x a year, so switching a flat would be no big deal for me. I think I could do it in normal conditions in 20 minutes tops.

That said, I had a flat in a blizzard once. Hit something hidden under the snow and the tire exploded. Front tire and I fortunately wasn't going that fast (maybe 40mph) and kinda slid/skidded to a stop but stayed on the road.

Also fortunate there wasn't much traffic, but that was sketchy changing that.

As an aside, I think cars with run-flat tires are a bad idea. If you are in, say Montana, in the middle of no-where and get a leak... no problem. Drive on. But if you get a full blow out... you are screwed. You have no doughnut and if you have a big rip in your sidewall, nothing is gonna work except a new tire. In the middle of no-where. On a Sunday. On a holiday weekend. As you are driving home with 2 young children in your car. Have fun.

Rant over.

We dont have to rely on these hypotheticals to understand that it is just a flat out bad idea. In the other thread you have us with mccarron and allen next year. That is nauseating. That is jake delhomme, seneca wallace and colt mccoy level of mediocre/bad

Sad part is that crew was better than we have now lol

Actually I think Allen will be a good QB in the NFL. He’s the entire offense on his team hence why his numbers are so bad. Put him even on a decent team and I think we would be singing a different tune. He has the same type of game to me as a Wentz does, strong arm, athletic, with good footwork. I think if he gets to do the Senior Bowl, he will impress a lot of people. That’s just my opinion though and like anyone elses here, you take it with a grain of salt and see how each player is a few years down the line.

Nobody has more to prove in the post season scouting process than Allen. He might impress, and I'm not counting him out. However, look over at the Miami Dolphins offense this weekend if you fall head over heels for a college quarterback with tons of arm talent and a lack of production. Jay Cutler is like a blinking yellow caution sign for prospects with arm talent and a lack of understanding of the position.

You're also assuming Hue Jackson is 100% coming back which I simply don't believe is the case.

In either case, AJ McCarron will be 28 years old before the start of next season. He's made four career starts. He has 160 career pass attempts.

If Hue Jackson thinks he should be the unquestioned starting QB and would pass on a QB at the top of the draft for him, then that's instant grounds for termination. If Sashi Brown or whoever is in charge of this team allows that to happen, that is also grounds for instant termination.

Cousins has 52 starts and 1988 pass attempts.
Taylor has 39 starts and 1159 pass attempts.

There is no comparison.

It's 80/20 that Hue Jackson is back next year and that's not coming from me. And to make matters worse I heard the 20 is hanging more on if Hue resigns or takes another position somewhere else.

Just the worst possible thing to hear.

I just can't wrap my brain around a coach going 1-31 in two years and keeping his job. Truly unfathomable to me.

That's why I'm not fighting it anymore. Every move I want made in the future I'm doing it with the thinking that Hue Jackson will unfortunately be here. There's so many good GM and HC candidates out there for next year.

Jimmy Haslam can fucking eat shit.

On the bright side, at least we can listen to Rizzo flip out.

So they do this thing now where he records a scheduled rant after every Browns game and charges people. $8.50 per month to hear it. They want you to pay to hear a rant. I honestly believe that the only thing that will get his ass outta here is a sexual assault or sexual harassment accusation.

I mean, Rizzo is an entertainer, and I admit he's ridiculous and can be an idiot, but it's not like he's really wrong at this point.
