2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This might be a no brainer, but for the first time i am ok with taking a RB early in the first.

I know we need receivers and corners, but Saquon looks like the best RB since Barry.

Really like this kid allot.

I know its a duh statement, but still had to throw his name out there, lol.

Over 12 yards a carry so far, which he can't keep up... but still a great start!

I was going to make a joke about the 12 yards a carry.

Reality though is just how good this kid is. Really amazing talent.

I also think that our offensive line is at a point right now where drafting a RB high wouldn't ruin him too quickly for him to be useful to us.

He is the type of back that doesnt need a great Oline.

Look we wont get him unless we are top 3 and i hate using draft assets to move up, way to expensive almost every time.

That said, I do love the kid and he can ball.

Right, but I don't believe in drafting a RB in the first round unless he's:

1) A generational talent.
2) You have an offensive line worth a damn and some weapons at receiver.

No point in drafting a RB high unless he's one of the last offensive pieces.

*IF* Kizer shows enough that he should have the job next year and

*IF* At least 4/5ths of the line are above average and

*IF* Either Coleman or DeValve looks like a solid pro and

*IF* he falls to the first Browns pick then

*YES* Barkley would be a fit with the top Browns pick.

i read lee's initial post and see its already been addressed almost perfectly.

The only thing you forget to mention is barkely has to show he can do it more than 1 game against substandard competition.

Not sure what you mean, he had 194 in the rose bowl, 4 td's against Pittsburgh, 167 against Iowa etc.

He was pretty good his rookie year too.

I think he is the real deal, but will be way to high picked for where I am hoping the Browns pick. (7-10)

Perhaps. But, if the QB class lives up to its hype, I think there will be a very strong movement for teams to get into the top-four to grab a QB and that isn't even counting on SF, NYJ, Jax and Buffalo really needing QBs of their own.

I think Slappy Barkley could certainly be at #4-#6 where the Browns will likely be.

This is OT, but I just started watching GoT & finally understand your handle. :chuckle:

I think the class is a bit over rated, but Rosen will go 1 for sure and be Andrew Luck level.

I dont see Barkley slipping that much, and i just have a man crush on his running style.

Reality is in Modern NFL, RB is not a huge needle mover, so not looking to over draft the position.

Sarcoma Barkley had another fine day.

On the ground and the air. The very model of a modern major NFL RB.

Only thing that I don't like is his first name.

He is really good, lol.

Snoqualmie is a perfectly cromulent name.

WR's and DB's. Who's out there in the 1st and 2nd? We will definitely be drafting both positions high, if not in the 1st.

Given the number I'd second rounders we have, I think we use one to acquire a third 1st rounder.
