2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Part of me wants to give him credit for navigating thru the Irsay ownership for so long, but I can't help but think that immense levels of ignorance kept him aloof about everything other than what he was doing/thinking.
You gotta wonder if he started doing drugs with Irsay and just hasn’t been able to stop ?

This is delayed but going back to the claim that the shelf life of elite RB's not any less than elite DB's... Here is the average age of All Pro selections at their 1st All Pro selection, their last all pro selection, the age they stopped being a clear starter at their position, and the age they retired or were involuntarily forced out of football:

So, no. Cornerbacks fall off no more significant cliff than any other defensive position.
I find it funny that on this board,

The guy who constantly posts about statistics is called Matches

The guy who constantly posts hot takes is called thestatman

I mean that trade likely will net us a WR or RB (via this board Michel is the consensus at that time frame).

Michel is going to be an intriguing weapon, but I could see other backs who have proven more workhorse qualities taken before him. Michel was a package back at Georgia, others with proven endurance to last 20-30 touches all season might get picked before him.

A package back was the best offensive player picked in last years draft.

The Browns could do much worse.

Lamar Jackson

Could that be because Rosen just doesn't throw as catchable a ball?
i really should stay out of this thread. But absolutely drop balls could be an indicator that the QB doesnt throw a catchable ball. In fact when i see a count that high, that was my first thought. But without watching all 100 drops between the 4 of them its difficult to know how they relate.

I would say Rosen and Allen both had drops cause they didn't have the best team in the world around them to begin with. I would say some of Allen's drops where cause of his touch since he likely has the strongest arm in this draft overall. Rosen was mostly on his WRs (but they were still better than Allen's group overall which likely was the worst in NCAA or at least on paper they looked it)

It doesn't have to be Michel, but either was getting that early second round pick in a heavy RB draft, looks really, really good right now. I mean I wouldn't be shocked if we came away from this draft with multiple RBs to go with Johnson and to compete/play snaps with guys like Hayes. I wouldn't even care if we spent 2 second round picks on the position at the end of the day. Trading for Osweiler at the end of the day, was a very smart decision long term for us.

Josh Allen Record/SRS (margin of victory adjusted for strength of schedule):
2016 - 8-6/1.37
2017 - 8-5/0.04

Lamar Jackson Record/SRS

2016 - 9-4/11.87
2017 - 8-5/9.67

Another terrible argument. Lamar Jackson won more with a tougher schedule.
