Hypothetically Irsay picks up the phone and calls Sashi. He asks for their best offer for Andrew luck. What do you guys offer?

Browns 1, the lower 2 2nd rounders. And... kizer?

Isn’t there legit concern that Luck May be done from Indy?

If our doctors say he will have no long term effects I’d give them Josh Gordon and the Crow. Maybe Kenny Britt as well.

Oh and in terms of compensation they will actually want id give them the Texans picks (both) and the Eagles second rounder. I think that would be a fair trade given Luck’s injury history. If pressed I’d swap the Texans pick with our pick in that deal but I’d ask for their second rounder in return for doing it

Luck had been throwing with that bad labrum for two seasons. He finally spoke up about how it was ruining his accuracy and doctors confirmed his inconsistent mechanics caused more damage to the shoulder due to overcompensating.

Then Irsay - easily the most embarrassing owner in sports - made comments to the media that "It's inside his head now" as if the injury isn't significant and he should play through it.

What should be happening is a trade for Luck to go to a different place. Will he heal? I'm guessing in Europe he will be able to use therapeutic treatments that are not exactly smiled upon by the NFL. Who cares, save your arm fella.

Should the Browns gamble on him in a trade?

What else do we have to look forward to?

They wouldn't be getting any of our own picks. The most I would give up is HOU 1st, 2nd and a 2019 2nd or 3rd round pick. I would also be asking IND for a future 2nd or 3rd round pick. We are giving them a kings ransom for the third highest paid player in the league who has legit injury concerns.

It depends so much on our specialist's evaluation. I know UH is solid, but man... this is where I wish Cleveland Clinic was still with the Browns.

If your doctors are completely confident in the long term look of his shoulder, I think you go as high as our 1st and the two lower 2nd rounders.

That's unlikely, however.

If your doctors have a good deal of optimism but are legitimately concerned--which is the likely best case--I think you take a risk by offering the Houston 1st and your 3rd rounder for him and a 2019 Indy 3rd.

If the doctors are very pessimistic, you don't touch him for that salary, period.

If Irsay's comments about it "being all in his head" are about Luck having to deal with working through pain, I don't think he is entirely wrong...he could have said that in a less douchey way, but I don't think he's wrong with that line of thinking, if that's what he meant.

Luck didn't look right at all. I felt in the preseason he was done.

Irsay however insisted that luck would be playing and any day he would return.

The team should of sat him out for the season. What the Colts did was outright fraud.

WELP, 2 more mocks (SB Nation & B/R):

1. Cleveland Browns: Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
Although DeShone Kizer had the best game of his career on Sunday, he just hasn’t done enough to show he should be Cleveland’s quarterback of the future. Rosen can be a little haphazard in his play while under pressure, but his tools are No. 1 worthy. He’s got a strong arm and a rapid fire release.

8. Cleveland Browns (via Houston Texans): Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
There’s not much Fitzpatrick can’t do. Alabama has used him all over the place, from outside corner to free safety to even dime linebacker. Fitzpatrick is at his best in coverage. That would mean the Browns could finally stop wasting Jabrill Peppers as a deep, single-high safety.

Secondary help is a yes for me. Courtland Sutton is another guy I would really like.

We can get 3 first round picks easily like we did last season. So a first round of A QB, Minkah and Sutton isn’t impossible to pull off

When people say that Rosen and Darnold have all the tools, what tools do they have that Baker mayfield doesn't?
