2018 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also another note, Rob Kaminsky has been doing well at Akron! Anyone know his velocity and whatnot?

Ehhhh, not great.

Last month he was: 88-90 FB and 78-82 SL

Could add a few more ticks as his health continues to improve, though.

Gotcha what was he at before all the injuries? I don't remember what his velocity was at but I know when we got him he was a pretty good looking prospect.

Nolan Jones has really been heating up at Lynchburg. Struggled in his first handful of games, but he's hitting .323 with 12 walks in his last 10 games.

Nick Sandlin to Akron

This dude going to prove me right and be the first of the 2018 Draft class to Cleveland?
29:2 K:BB in 19.2 IP across 3 levels so far. Hopefully next year they can stretch him out to be a multi-inning weapon.

I know they are limiting workloads because these guys just finished full college seasons.

I think we'll be seeing Sandlin in Cleveland in about two weeks provided he continues to dominate in Akron.

It sounds like Sandlin will either get a shot this September or next spring to make this ballclub.

Didn’t Kyle Crockett do the same thing as Sandlin?

He made it to the big league club the second season out of college and cause of that it gave him an extra option year as well. Sadly he hasn't panned out, not sure what exactly happened to him though in some ways.

One thing that's stood out to me; the Indians have some big velocity with their young arms.

Luis Oviedo: 92-96
Ethan Hankins: 93-96
Tahnaj Thomas: 92-96
Lenny Torres: 93-97
Carlos Vargas: 94-100
