2018 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Didnt like watching the Spurs with 3 stars for years...

Couldn’t stand watching the Bulls dominate with no resistance..

Fans in the east don’t like LeBron and wish he would retire... You don’t think Toronto and Indiana (both from Miami and Cleveland days wish he would go away?)

It happens and has happened...

You just can’t have it both ways... And in the Warriors case they’re dominant and they enjoy it and they will sacrifice for it.. Roles, financially etc.. Other teams and players just can’t do it or refuse... LBJ included, Kyrie included..
This is nothing like the spurs or bulls. Don’t recal those teams getting the second best player in the nba and future hall of famer in free agency after making two nba finals and winning one.
Again I think many of us would respect the situation a lot more if this was being done with Harrison Barnes instead of Durant and they were actually in danger of losing.
Lopsided series and nba finals is not something as a basketball fan I find fun.

Maybe because it doesn't work... Memphis came the closest, and they failed.
It may not work, but I wouldn’t use those Memphis teams as the example of why it wouldn’t. Memphis never had iso scorers even half of what Lebron and Kyrie are. It’s that combo of a guy like M. Gasol of a few years back, plus the elite perimeter iso scoring that I think could give the Warriors fits.

Not an easy thing to put together for sure, I just wonder why everyone keeps trying to put their version of the pace and space Warriors together when the best version of that team already exists.

But all those teams were tested, hell, outside the Bulls, they didn't sustain the dominance.

It's fucking awful to have one team just buzz saw its way year in and year out, like this, and call it entertainment.

The Lakers with Shaq and Kobe is probably the closest thing. But the NBA as a whole was just really bad at that point without real competition. But even the Kings gave them a scare.

This is just absurdly bad, for the league, and for everyone else. If the Warriors are just going to sleepwalk to their titles year in, and year out.

At least the Heat got tested. And made it interesting/entertaining, even if you didn't like them. Because they didn't stack the deck that badly.

And NONE of those teams, without their best player is a title contender. If Durant is supposedly their best player. Remember, they won 73 fuckin' games with this core roster in place.

There's nothing you can do about it, I agree. But again. Durant is such a pussy and single handily has ruin this league IMO.

Because the NBA is not even the least bit enjoyable with this shit. No dramatic scares, no interesting/competitive games.

Just one team has way too much talent and the other teams they go against can't come close to it.

So again, fuck him. Not just as a Cav fan, but anyone that ever enjoyed the NBA in general.

I’ve watched every single finals game since 200 this year I will not this shot has to stop

Yea but if we beat Boston only to get fucked in the ass I'd probably just say fuck it and rather lose. I don't want to be demoralized and drained from all positive energy. These Warriors are taking souls. Houston fans are already holding their heads down.
I just can't say fuck it, lose... I still believe neither can LeBron. Get to finals, play your hand, regroup.

Maybe then an All Star (or two) sees the path to the finals and a crack at Goliath is by helping James in Cleveland.

I can dream, right?

Imo, durant can never approach the level of greatness LeBron and Jordan have because of the level of difficulty. To me, greatness is achieved by overcoming adversity and winning against all odds ex. 2016 Cavs. How can you say your among the best when you run from a challenge. He's a bandwagon player for bandwagon fans!

This is a bit of semi-hot take.

It's a lot easier (and likely more enjoyable) with out a horse in the race in watching the NBA in some ways.

Like I honestly couldn't watch ESPN, or the NBA as a whole when LeBron left in 2010. I actually took to watching auto racing again as an escape (a good decision). LeBron, even on the Heat made it feel like I had a horse in the race.

When the Cavs wouldn't make the finals during his first go around? I had a tough time watching the Magic, Celtics, Pistons all make it because I hated those teams. (hindsight? I should have respected Bad Boys II TBH).

The last finals I really struggled to watch it because I had a feeling it would end the way it did. There really wasn't anything the Cavs could do after Durant pulled that shit. (and fuck what he did Oklahoma, my new home state).

It's a hard sport to watch when you have something personally invested in it (LeBron, The Cavs).
Like, you just groan when the word "Woj. Bomb" is uttered because it means some other team took that third player your team needs to win a title, or when Stepen A. Smith is yelling about the Cavs on the TV at the bar.

It's easier when you're...I don't know, watching the Lakers and Kings battle it out in 2001 while you're trying to see how your team is going to look for the lottery.

But I'm also not a fool. I know that I can at least point to this time period, right now, as a period of dominance for a Cleveland team. In spite of it being (sadly) a league that lacks parity and is sometimes insane to compete for titles in due to how the salaries are set up.

I'll smile when I see highlights of the various Cavs runs, 2016, and being on that "short" list.

We'll see. I think this is the Cavs last year for quite some time, barring LeBron going Super Saiyan. I accepted that after last year when this team started to fall apart.

What did he say?

Basically, he was asked about the warriors motion offense vs just giving it to KD for iso scoring when he has it going and he basically said kd is an offensive machine so they often trow their motion offense out the window for it. He then said after losing in the 2016 to the Cavs they needed a guy like KD who can bail you out when the offense bogs down/curry is struggling.
