2018 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would you take Thibs if we go into rebuild mode?

No, I wouldn’t. And I wouldn’t want him should LeBron stay either.

I have “pie in the sky” candidates if LeBron returns and we have our pick from some very successful, proven coaches.

If we go rebuild, I want a more offensively modern guy who can instill the type of culture Brown did in Philly even as they lost and what Atkins is doing in Brooklyn. I’d look for a proven assistant from a winning club (Messori, Stackhouse) or even bring Blatt back with the rebuilding roster.

My preferred scenario is LeBron stays in CLE even after our inevitable playoff exit (whatever round it happens to be) and the Cavs get lucky with Coach K tired of the college scene (the FBI probe and black cloud over the game) or Jay Wright decides he wants to take a new challenge.

I know both of those guys are pipe-dreams, but they’re both in uncharted territory in their careers. K could wind down his coaching career while LeBron enters the back 9 of his career. It’d be Larry Brown-esque. I think Jay Wright has enough cache even among NBA players that’d be immediately have respect. His college system works in today’s NBA and his temperament is exactly what you want for an NBA Coach. He’s mild mannered with his players and isn’t what I call a “screamer”. The type of college coach who intimidates his players to motivate them (see Rick Pitino and John Callipari).

If Minnesota loses this series, what more can they realistically do to contend? They have two all-stars in Butler and KAT, a former one in Teague, a potential one in Wiggins and their bench isn't bad.

More three point shooters?

Well, give them more than a year first. Towns and Wiggins have never been in the playoffs before.

Too much emphasis put on being a treadmill team instead of giving teams time to grow a little before throwing in the towel.

THey honestly wouldn't even be playing the Rockets had Butler not been hurt. They'd have been closer to playing the Blazers or the Jazz or something and then who knows what we're saying.

I think Gobert has probably been the best player this series and Carmelo is shooting like 38% and getting outplayed by Derrick Favors. That Carmelo trade has not helped at all. They'd have been so much better, in hindsight, just keep Taj Gibson.

Utah would be up 30 if Jae Crowder could hit the broad side of a barn.

Also, this playoffs is shaping up well for the Cavs trade targets if Portland, OKC, and Washington all go out in the 1st round(and Portland/OKC in beey disappointing fashion)

No guarantees any the names we all know(Lillard, McCollum, PG13, Wall, Beal, Porter) get moved or that the Cavs are the ones to get them, but going out poorly in the first round does help to grease the wheels more than if they had advanced to the second round

BREAKING NEWS: Paul George seen on the bench on his phone purchasing a plane ticket to Cleveland.

Idk how we can or if it’s even possible but...gonna need 2 of those guys to keep Lebron. (Ship Love out/trade BK pick)

The days of Lebron carrying a team are almost over...A 34 year old Lebron should be on a team with equal talent compared to other contenders. (Coaching/players etc)

I’m sure he’d prefer to stay if we can make some big moves in the offseason, but he will go wherever he feels would be an even playing field against the warriors/rockets

Lol I really can’t see him staying in okc at all.. I think that leaves him down to two teams.. cavs and lakers.. if lebron stays I think he might come here.. he wants to win.. and okc didn’t help that for him one bit.

We honestly have no idea what LeBron will decide and which factors he will give more weight than others.

Certainly finding a way to add two of those guys would be great but there is simply no known ultimatum from LeBron yet.

And I’m not trying to be optimistic or say he’s going to return, there is just only one person(LeBron) and maybe his family who truly have even an inkling it what will go into his decision in 2018 vs 2014 and 2010

Thunder have been playing like complete bitches this entire 4th quarter and really no repercussions. Started with Felton who committed an obvious flagrant but was called a common foul, and more recently Westbrook. I could care less about Crowder but throwing him out seemed pretty absurd.

Jazz are fun to watch, that’s for sure.

Carmelo sucks now.. absolutely horrible.. thank god we didn’t end up getting him.

Legit question: You're Paul George, eyeing up a max contract and the rest of your career.

You going to Cleveland with 33-34 year old LeBron, signing 1 year deals...or you going to Philadelphia?

Just look at it objectively. He wants to LIVE in LA, he has no connection to Cleveland and the only reason to come here would be to win, right?

So now, what decision you making?
