2018 NFL Draft - Day 2 Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really don’t see how we don’t draft a starting caliber RB at either 33 or 35. With Carlos Hyde’s injury history if he gets hurt we literally will not have a RB. I love Duke Johnson, but he is not a 3 down back. I believe this offense even with our weapons on the outside will rely heavily on the run game.

Can't even count on Duke being fully healthy.

Get a RB.

Literally laughing my ass off at the OBR "insider" reports that came out in the days leading up to the draft.
  • Pauline reported that the Browns informed Allen he was the pick
  • Jared Mueller said the plan "is Darnold + Chubb" and the FO hadn't wavered from that
  • Lane said it was Darnold
  • Pauline (right before the pick) said he then believed it would be Mayfield but a definite trade down from 4
  • Pauline said the Browns were likely to trade both seconds for Seattle's 18th pick
I regret ever forking over $10 for that trash.

Because you can get Royce Freeman, Kerryon Johnson, Nick Chubb, or Ronald Jones at 64

Guice and Hurst are my selections.

From everything I'm gathering, Guice has all the potential to be a durable 3 down back in the NFL.

Hyde has his concerns, Duke has his concerns, whom also asks to come off the field a lot. He's a playmaker, but I don't want him running between the tackles.

We can get away with having 3 awesome RBs in their own ways.

I honestly don't know any of the remaining players well enough to have a strong opinion. Just too much shit I don't know -- All I'd really be doing is regurgitating shit I've read elsewhere, then arguing about it as if they were really my own thoughts.

So, I'm just going to see who we pick, and enjoy the ride.

I think Hurst is a good bet and option at 33. I like the idea of Guice, but it does marginalize Duke a bit. Sutton would be my choice if they go WR.

Reid at safety would be interesting. The swerve pick that I think should be in play with the later pick would be someone at linebacker who projects versatility to either challenge Schobert or displace Collins by 2020 to save $12M. Depth at linebacker is weak.

Is anyone concerned about size at Corner and matching up against taller WRs? Doesn't seem we have anyone taller than 5'11" (It's one game but Ward got owned by Simmie Cobbs Jr.). Might be unusual to grab another corner at this point but makes me think we could go for a bigger corner to go along with our current group. If not at 33 or 35 potentially at 64.

Who do we like the most out of the remaining running backs?

Guice, Jones, Johnson, Chubb or Freeman?

Saw someone posted a rumor that we are into Chubb at one of the top 2nd-round slots.

Howard Wilson is 6'1".
