2018 Series #8 | Indians vs. Cubs | April 24th & 25th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Has anyone in this forum talked about what garbage Edwin has become? My god, he can barely make contact. I have him on two of my fantasy teams, so his suckage is triple maddening for me.

Yes, someone mentioned him and Kipnis as the 2 major underperforming suckheads.

If Edwin hits over .170 in the first two months of the season then the world is ending. He does this every year.

I'll always admire Tomlin for what he gave us in the 2016 postseason especially the majestic game he pitched in Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field. Having said that, I'm afraid that we may be nearing the end of his time as a Major League starting pitcher. Salazar or Merritt will probably get the first crack at the fifth spot in the rotation if/when they move Tomlin to the pen, but Bieber will eventually take that role whether it's this season or in 2019.

Thumbs up on Bieber. Cody Anderson could be a wild card too. Cowboy must go and so should Matt Belisle. Tito and his buddies, SMH.

I'll admire him more when he's no longer an Indian.

He starts off slow every year. It’s nothing new

What's the benefit of having a meatball tosser in the bullpen? He's best traded for a team desperate for a vet inning eater.

The increased walk rate is new, but you're not totally wrong.

He's a career 4.72 ERA with a 4.58 FIP, that's below average, and the fly-ball revolution does him no favors.

If he gets his walk rate down, he'll probably settle into that 4.50-5.00 ERA range.

Either way, I hope we find an alternative.

Maybe Tomlin is just a slow starter like Edwin?

Tomlin, Belisle, and McAllister are definitely the three most obvious weak spots in the pitching staff.

To be honest, I don’t even like the prospect of relying on guys coming back from injuries to be able to mitigate those weaknesses, either.

It’s still early, so maybe one or two or all three of them will figure it out, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Anywhere to get cheap tickets for tonights game? Or will it be all Cubs fans?
