2019 Mock Drafts

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gonna update this a little. Just think there is going to be DE and CB run:

1. Arizona--Murray QB, crazy but look at coach
2. Giants--Haskins QB--trade, NY has to get Haskins
3. Jets--Bosa DE--best player in draft
4. Oakland--Allen LB--need to get to QB
5. TB--Gary DE--he looks the part
6. SF--Williams OT--safe pick
7. Jack--Williams DT--not a big need but best player, could trade
8. Detroit--Burns DE--need help everywhere on D
9. Buffalo--Sweat DE--position to valuable to pass up
10. Denver--Williams CB
11. Cincy--Taylor OT--Line still needs to get better
12. GB--White LB great pick
13. Miami--Dillard OT
14. Atlanta--Wilkins DT--best player available
15. Wash--Baker CB
16. Carolina--Murphy CB
17. Browns--Hockenson TE/Oliver DT/Metcalf WR
If Oliver is there at 17 you take him. Hell, you run your ass to the podium with the card. With Oliver and Vernon added to our line we have the best front 7 in football.

I'm becoming a believer in Josh Rosen to the Giants for their second rounder, Giants take best edge player at 6.

That would be such a failure by the Cards. I don’t think they move Rosen, too much already invested.

There aren't many positions I'd be upset with using the first rounder on, and TE is one of them.

Browns don't need to be taking a TE, RB, G, C, or QB that early.

The Browns don't need TJ Hockenson... but every team can become better with TJ Hockenson. Pairing him with Njoku wouldn't be fair. As for all the other TE prospects and the other positions you listed, I agree.

Most years I'd agree, but man Hockenson is the real deal. Not only can he make plays like a receiver, but he'll make the run game better too because he's a great blocker.

If he is there and all the TOP defensive players are gone: Take him. Another awesome weapon for Baker only adds fuel to the fire that is the Cleveland Browns.

The Draft Network simulated mock, 4 rounds using TDN Predictive Model.

Ran multiple times to make sure parties fell to appropriate spots.

Oliver, Layne, McLaurin available at three slots taken.

Oliver falls to #17, giving us a terrific young DT tandem with Ogunjobi. Isn’t for everyone at his size, but great scheme fit for us.

Layne, Cleveland native, falls to #49. We have time to develop him as he continues his transition to DB at the NFL level. His length is what the doctor ordered opposite of Ward.

McLaurin in the 3rd is a steal. He’s likely the most underrated receiver in this draft. 6’0, well-built 210 lbs, good route runner, 4.35 speed, and is tough as hell evidenced by his special teams play. Dominated Senior Bowl week. Held back by OSU offense first few years of school and many mouths to feed as a senior. First class character and leader.

Ximines is a small school guy with plenty of tools and ability.

Daley gives us a developmental tackle.

Gentry is a massive 6’8 tight end and decent complement to Njoku.

Like most of this.Gentry is super slow. There are about 10 tight ends I would rather have .

I'm opposite on McLaurin. Do not think he is a steal in the 3rd. I think 5th is where he needs to be. His 4 year stats at tOSU show average for this draft class. His hands are just above average, making people miss is average, doesn't get open well and doesn't make 1st downs. Can the guy block and play special teams-yes but I would rather he had better hands and gets open better.

C’mon fella. You know you can’t simply go by stats for any player.

This is especially true of Terry McLaurin. You certainly can’t go by his receiving stats when he played in Urban Meyer’s QB-keeper offense with the likes of JT Barrett attempting to toss him the football. He finally had the chains lifted in 2018 with Haskins and he produced 20 yards per catch as a deep ball threat. There were many mouths to feed in the OSU receiving unit and McLaurin played his role admirably. He’s going to be much better as a professional.

If you watch him play, it’s my opinion that McLaurin is easily the best OSU receiver in this draft. And that includes Campbell, who is likely to go late first or second round because he can run like a deer but tragically lacks the technical aspects of an accomplished route runner. Unlike him, McLaurin can smoothly run a full route tree and has every tool to be a ready-to-roll WR2/3 in the NFL.

He was the talk of Senior Bowl week for a reason. He was criminally underutilized at OSU. The kid’s a stud.

If you can’t see it, fine. More Scary Terry for the rest of us.

Have to disagree. Urbans offense and 20 yearsof JT Barrett as QB held back his stats.

This guy is a faster but weaker route running Amari Cooper. Will be the steal of the drsft on the offensive end. He's tough, blocks, plays special teams, fast and is getting better with his route running.

I remember reading similar nonsense about Michael Thomas a few years ago...

To be fair, everyone who looked at Michael Thomas saw immediately that the dude looked like a first round physical specimen at the WR position.

McLaurin doesn't jump off the screen to me. He very well might be the best WR from OSU in this draft class. He very well might pan out to be a stud in the NFL, but I have him behind guys like Hakeem Butler, Parris Campbell and Andy Isabella--all guys I'm not even confident in.
