2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Taco Ball at 26.
Under Beilien he turns into Rudy Gobert

I would not sign Tacko Fall as an Undrafted FA. Dude is tall but doesn't have a passion for the game. He wants to work at a tech company thats his dream.

He only got into basketball because of his height. Played soccer until he out grew the sport. Well in theory he could be a Gobert type defender the reality is he doesn't have the drive to become that.

He’s 7’7” but only averaged 7.6 rebound per game. I think it’s Enes Kanter style drop coverage and a field day for high powered offenses with guards that can shoot from deep.

Koby mentioned a specialist at pick 26. I’m thinking Cameron Johnson or Matisse Thybulle. I’m hoping we’re a little more ambitious and take a chance on Chuma Okeke since we’re trying to stay in the bottom ten we can afford to let him recover all season. Time to start playing Hinkie ball. I would personally move Love AFTER we find a trade for JR’s contract as well IF staying bottom 10 is the goal. We can obviously wait on that until his value is a bit higher under Beilein for a few games.

Beilein likes shooter. 26 will be a shooter

How much worse is he than Gobert? skillwise

I think if the Pelicans get 3, they take someone besides Barrett. We saw they both need spacing and their team is already low on shooters. Garland makes more sense to me.

I can see a situation where Pelicans don't want Barrett, and the Lakers don't want Barrett because of the Ingram overlap and he falls to 5.

This article says the Knicks like Culver which could set off the scenario of Barrett dropping to us. Also if Culver drops to us and the Hawks like him this much, #5 for #8 and #10 could be in play.

"Before the unveiling of the lottery results, some scouts and personnel execs said that if the Hawks had won the No. 2 pick, they would focus on wing Jarrett Culver - and that the Cavaliers might have done the same, passing on outstanding guards Ja Morant and RJ Barrett.

Rumors have even cropped up about the Knicks considering Culver over Barrett with the No. 3 pick. At the least, the Knicks will weigh the option.

At No. 5, though, there's a pretty good chance the Cavs can get their man, if the Lakers pass on him at No. 4 - though that is no guarantee. Culver had good numbers at the Chicago pre-draft combine, measuring 6-6.75 with a 6-9.5 wingspan

He's not very skilled at all but unlike Gobert who gets pushed around at 245 pounds and can be a detriment to the offense when he's not catching lobs maybe Tacko can throw his 288 pound weight around. Team will probably get him off the floor with pnr or by simply fouling him until he hurts his team.

Tacko Fall shot 36.2% from the free throw line while Gobert came in shooting 70% as a prospect and has been a career 63% free throw shooter in the league. Gobert staying on the floor and defending on the perimeter instantly makes him an impact player while Tacko will be lucky to get drafted or at least make an opening day roster.

I want no part of Reddish in this draft. Only Duke player I would actually want is Zion. Was never high on RJ. Don't see greatness from any of the Duke players outside of Zion.

Currently I want Culver or Bol Bol. Yes Bol Bol has some health concerns with his frame but dude was the best player in college for the 9 games he played. 20 9 on 56 from the field 52 from 3 2 BPG. Dude is very impressive. But the health concerns are real. He could be the second coming of Kristaps even down to the fail frame. But amazing when hes on the court healthy.
I would have been more than good with Barrett because his finishing ability and passing is advanced for his age regardless of needing improvement as a spot up shooter /ft shooter/defender.
I am not a huge fan of players like Reddish even when they do show more motor , but his lack of it, regardless of skill as a shooter /ball handler / defensive potential etc . But that situation at Duke would have benefited most players with his skillset and instead people make excuses that it hurt his impact.
Culver is a high level defender in college and it should transfer to being decent in the pros but he lacks explosiveness I look for in a wing and despite being able to muscle through contact unlike Reddish who failed terribly in that category Culver needs to get stronger and get to his spots quicker or he will not be worthy of a 5 pick.
Bol is a huge upside player because of the length paired with a guards offensive skillset. But the foot issues will likely keep in outside the top 10 even if he is the best player in the draft down the road when he isn't in street clothes.
Sekou Doumbouya is the highest upside player that should be there at 5 if the Lakers don't take him-they probably take Garland. Regardless of concerns people have from not seeing enough footage, Sekou's game is not at all raw, his skillset is solid on both sides of the ball, and his ability to be a premier athletic long hybrid forward in the NBA in as soon as 2 years of heavy pt makes him the best option imo. I would also be fine with White or Hunter, but neither have the same potential.

I’m going to go out on a limb and predict the Cavs take Iggy Bradzeikis with the #26 pick. Beilein knows him well from Michigan and the kid seems to be a real killer. Two other possibilities are Darius Bazley & Jalen Lecque. I think it will definitely be a developmental player along those lines.

50-undrafted most probable scenario . But there is a place for him in the NBA as a 3rd big used in certain match ups. his ft woes are his biggest hurdle really, and has a better bbiq than people assume , I think somebody grabs him late 2nd

Brazdeikis could be gone by 26 imo. I would not have any issue with him taken there but don't really think they will pick any Michigan players because of Beilein.
I would be surprised if they were not targeting Chuma Okeke at 26 in the hopes he slides due to injury.

Cam "buckets" Reddish would be a nightmare pick for him.

He does like taking players nobody thinks highly of and transforming them. I do think Reddish has a high ceiling, but I am really wary of him.

No. He got players nobody thought highly of and transformed them. He didn't have a choice as a college coach. Gotta recruit the kids that wanna play for you. Now he has his choice of who he wants. Completely different. He may have gotten his 2nd or 3rd tier options in college. Now he gets his first option.
