2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yes...although that all changes if the Cavs decide to move one or more big men on draft day.
Odds are strong they will shop TT and Henson as expiring's at the deadline if no takers exist on draft day.
I do think a versatile big like goga and Bol are in play but only if they traded down to 8 and 10 as neither will fall to 26.
But there is that potential that 1 of them is there at 13 if the take on Johnsons 2 yrs for the pick

Agreed. And I think it's possible that Zizic may be part of a draft day trade if our target is a big man. And Henson or even TT could be included in a JR deal if we're taking back a big enough contract.

Wolves at #11 working out White is interesting because he’s not expected to last that long. Could point to the possibility of a trade up by Minnesota. I doubt his agent would agree to work out there unless he felt the Wolves were a realistic possibility.

Coby White is an odd prospect because he is a SG that ended up playing PG for one year in college. He didn't play PG in high school. He could project to be either a SG or PG depending on the team. I think the NBA is trending towards putting wings at SG more than combo guards.

If Coby White doesn't go in the top 7, #11 might actually be the next logical spot for him. I think the Hawks would rather surround Trae Young with wings instead of a combo guard. I don't think Coby White fits into the wizards with them having both Beal and Wall.

In the top 7 I could see the Suns and Bulls passing on him if they think he is more of a SG than PG. I actually think the Cavs could take him and try to pair him with Sexton with the hopes that one grows into a more true PG.

Go to the ‘Cavs draft workouts’ thread, as I believe the Cavs have made a promise to a draft prospect...

What this tells me is White’s camp is not overly comfortable with his draft positioning. He doesn’t have a promise from the Suns at #6 and the Bulls at #7 need a point guard, but they haven’t committed to taking him, if he’s there, which he likely will be. Beyond that, the Hawks at #8 and #10 have a young point guard, in Trae Young. The Wizards at #9 have committed a huge sum of money to John Wall, which, along with his significant knee injuries, makes him about as untradeable as one can get.

Exactly. I think his agent protected him by just having a solo workout with the timberwolves. As much as he is being marketed as a PG, teams could just see him as a SG with his skill set.

It really only takes one surprise pick in the top 7 for Coby to drop to #11.

True. The Wolves are rumored to have promised Rui Hachimura at #11, so I wonder what that might mean for him? Hachimura skipped the combine & hasn’t worked out for anyone.

It’s extraordinarily rare that there are not star level players available in drafts at the 5 spot and beyond. Any front office worth its salt should be able to find a player here at that level.

It hard to gauge promises and who is actually giving them out vs the agents just trying to keep the players stock high. Sometimes promises leak after the draft and those reports seem more believeable. I know the Suns seem to promise players every year but I don't think other organizations are giving out promises as often as speculated pre-draft.

Don't trade Zizic.

Stars are found after 5 all the time.

Well Bol is an elite offensive player from the perimeter combined with that size/length defensively and can be used at the 3 with his dribble drive,& the 4 easy in a Beilein offense. The 5 is another story with that super thin frame where he would struggle to establish position, but taking him to be a center seems unlikely for most teams given it would take away from his offensive skillset so the only questions regarding him are his health and desire and if those things are considered non issues by teams in the lottery, he still could go as high as 3 to New Orleans in a AD trade with NY. Granted it was a small window but in his short stint of playing in college the only 1 and done player with better PER was Zion.
The only reason Bol is not considered a top 5 pick is the medias expectation he will have injury issues, due to lack of info updates.I highly doubt teams with medical access feel the same and certainly would not be sharing positive info about him.
