2020 NFL Draft - Pick #44 - Grant Delpit, S, LSU

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm glad someone else said it.

Elliott looked really good today. Maybe just a factor of playing with 3 other studs on the line, but he was solid today for sure.
I didn't focus on him.

I have no idea how he did, but I guess that's better than the alternative.

Clearly he's played well enough to start over Shelby Harris, at least for week 1.

Looked like a football player for sure!

I know health was a limiting factor, but I'd be curious as hell how Greedy would have faired in this scheme. Our secondary looked lights out.

Delpit shined bright in coverage but as always looked great when asked to get close to the LOS.

Greedy is a worse boundary corner than our top three.

You don't pay for depth that has Greedy's injury history, plus doesn't contribute on special teams, plus doesn't play inside.

I don't really think we need to see how he'd play. He'd be a worse Emerson until he got inured again.

A torn Achilles is about as rough of an injury for a defensive back as you can imagine. We talked about it so much when Varejao popped his and he was never the same. It's the injury that moved Hall of Famer Rod Woodson from cornerback to free safety.

I think we are finally seeing Delpit as a finished product both physically and mentally right now.
I'm glad at least one of the LSU defensive backs seems to have worked out. I always thought Grant was a high character guy.

It's incredibly rare for a player to miss his rookie year due to injury and still succeed in the NFL.

Whether it was Delpit needing to learn, Woods's scheme being a problem, or a mix of both, he really came on in the second half of last year and continued it today.

I loved the pick when we made it--and I'm glad to see it paying off. In the post-game interview, Denzel said they want to get the ENTIRE secondary to the pro bowl. If they play like they did today, they just might.
Is there a video of this? I've searched quite a bit and have not been able to find anything.

Leftover concussion effects from him...they can be voted on all they want, but they're not going to actually "get to there" because they'll be preparing for the Superb Owl...

There has to be. It was the live TV broadcast on channel 19 (Cleveland CBS). A woman was interviewing him on the field after the game.

Delpit was one of my favorite players in that draft and I felt like an idiot for awhile there. Good to know I can just pass the buck to Joe Woods lol

My least favorite Berry picks have been, in no particular order:
  1. Jordan Elliott
  2. Harrison Bryant
  3. Anthony Schwartz
  4. Alex Wright
  5. David Bell
  6. Cade York
Ok, fuck "no order"--York is #1 with a bullet. Alex Wright and Jordan Elliott are next.

I was ready to write every single one of them off.... but then Jordan Elliott went out and played pretty solid football today.
#2.

Bump.

Fucking Harrison Bryant

I have no clue who this is. But he called the extension 16 hours before it happened. He’s gotta know someone.
I know Zach...works at a small machine shop, gots two kids, drives an old Wrangler with a Woody Woodpecker/Looney Tunes spare tire cover.

Wait. From the small pic, looks like a different Zach. Never mind. Thought it might be him because he does pretty good on the parlay sheets.
