JFC. Rubio might never suit up again for an NBA franchise, let alone the Cavs. If the move ends up blowing up in our face, we turn around and recoup our losses at the deadline in 2023.
Kinda how I view it too. Probably get a couple second rounders or late first for LeVert next deadline or maybe S&T if things go poorly. We'll have to see how the market for the other players shake out and how LeVert does here to know if this is the right move. Really curious what Houston is asking for Gordon because this deal would have happen perfect for them and I think Gordon is probably a smoother fit than LeVert.

:conf (11):

You really think theres a big difference between 30 and 32? There is actually. The 32 gives you more flexibility in how you set up a contract structure. We paid two firsts here and it was probably too much

We also lose the Rubio DPE, but we obviously wouldn't use it anyway. Swapping the Rocket's 2nd for the Heat's costs us about 25 places.

Officially deadline week. Don’t expect the Cavs to make a big splash. Koby values his draft picks and future flexibility. Simmons? Nah. A young up and coming wing? I’d say unlikely. Who trades those guys? I don’t even think Levert is a guy Koby will give a 1st for. What do I expect? A cheap rental that can score points and handle the ball. I still think Eric Gordon makes the most sense. Perhaps a guy who needs to get paid but their team doesn’t want to pay. Like we did with JA and Markk.

There will be a lot of rumors. Almost all of them won’t amount to anything. My advice? Heads down, tune out the noise, don’t F5 RCF all week. You’ll hear when something happens.

Nice post idiot!

.... except we didn't.
The Houston pick is basically a first. That was 2 shots at a decent bench wing we are passing up. Levert was worth either a first or 2 2nds. Not a first and the better of our 2 2nds

I think the best part of this trade is that we are now firmly out of the discussion for Simmons.
We were never in it lol harden is getting traded to Philly in the off season too much smoke in Brooklyn for it not to be fire

It's always possible that there is another trade coming right now -- the trade probably won't officially go through for at least a day.

We still have the SAS second. Levert can play. That is known. 2nd round picks have a low hit rate

So does that mean that if we made another move it would definitely have to be a trade?

Wonder how Levert fits when Sexton comes back.
I was ok with the first and Rubio...could have held that Houston pick
for another trade. Or picked a young player with potential to grow with the young core.
I just hope he stays healthy.

I really wanted Murray on this team, now that we have LeVert, I don’t see that happening. Get me Schroeder or maybe a backup big who can be an upgrade over Davis.
