2022 Browns Prediction Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In the comments he explained that he doesn’t believe Watson plays this season. So if that’s the case I can at least understand his viewpoint.

Although I’d counter that even average QB play is a step up from last year.
If he doesn’t think Watson will play this season, I already don’t respect his opinion.

Oh yeah, 6-11 a happening thing.

If half of the roster is suspended.

If Watson misses the entire season, I could see 6-11 potentially if a bunch of other things go wrong from an injury perspective.

But I also don't expect Watson to miss the entire season either.

If Watson misses the season and Brisset is the starter 6-11 is extremely likely.

10 would assume at min that we go 3-3, and Watson goes 7-4, including 5 divisional games.

That’s such a tough line. For me, this season isn’t playoff or bust and really wasn’t unless Watson just wasn’t suspended.

I don’t think Jacoby is bad enough to go 1-5 but I don’t think he’s good enough to go 4-2 unless the defense becomes a turnover monster. Should be seeing a shit ton of season 1 Stefanski in anything remotely close for the first 6 weeks.

Edit- For what it’s worth- anything below 4-2 in the division is a massive failure for me this year, though. I think Pittsburgh is going to crash back to reality with bad QB play. Ben shortened their field because he couldn’t throw deep, but he really didn’t turn it over the way I expect everyone else they have to. I think Cinci comes back to Earth, because that last stretch of games just really isn’t what they are. I think Baltimore is the best Team in this division, especially with a lot of returning faces. I think removing Hollywood Brown benefits Lamar, because it’ll force less scramble prayers, so they’ll likely game plan more designed roll out plays, which should benefit him.

I understand that line of thinking, but I think you're selling way too low on how good this team will be with Watson at QB.

The Browns should and probably will be favored in their first 4 games of the year. Carolina, Atlanta, NYJ and Pittsburgh all have worse QB situations. The Browns played the hell out of the Chargers last year, and getting a cross country 1pm game against them helps. I don't know what to expect from NE this year.

Point is, I could easily see this team at 4-2 through 6 weeks. They play 4 of the worst teams in the NFL, IMO. I know it's Pittsburgh and all, but right now it's looking like Mason Rudolph is going to be their opening day starter. The Jets have drafted decently, but Zack Wilson looks like worse Baker Mayfield, Carolina has ACTUAL Baker Mayfield, and Atlanta...well there is a reason Deshaun is here and not there.

Baltimore is, for sure, the team to beat in the AFCN. But it depends, Lamar has gotten dinged up a bit, and his passing game is still so so. Woods has devised great game plans for the Ravens last year, I would hope that would continue. Bengals are absolutely coming back down to earth, and Pittsburgh stinks.

Totally with you on all! I’m not a Jacoby guy. I realize he’s a likely upgrade from injured Baker, but I’ve never been impressed. Thankfully, Kevin’s scheme is probably what could make him palatable.

But Week 6 loss to Patriots, right before Watson's return, prevents Cleveland from recovering all the way to postseason field.

Screw you, Bill Belichick !
