2022 Fantasy Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You weren’t in the championship in year two. It was me versus @JDailey23. That was the year I won. You were in the third place game.

You beat me in year one for the title.

From what I can tell, me, @SuperSurge, @Rookie, and JDailey have all made it to two finals and each won once.
Hmm could’ve sworn I’ve been in it twice.

Here are the finals in order from first to most recent, winner in bold:

I drew the 3 hole in a 12 team PPR redraft.

1) I really want to take Jefferson here. Am I nuts?

2) The 9 and 10 slot owners are looking to trade up. What is a deal I could take that would make it worth the drop that far? Right now, I'm thinking something like:

My: 1, 2, 4, and 8
His: 1, 2, 4, and 6

Is that enough?

Will the player be around at your next pick?

If the answer is no, you're not nuts.

Doesn't sound too bad.

If CMC is there at 3, then I'll probably take him. I guess the question is if passing on a guy like Ekeler for a WR is crazy or not.

What am I looking at in the 9 or 10 spot? I'd really hope Kamara is going to avoid his suspension so it bumps another guy down the line if I went this route. I'd love for Dalvin Cook to drop that low, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Not sure if I could be bold enough to take Kelce this high.

I'd consider making that deal with 9 or 10 if it's on the table.

I'd stay away from CMC that high. Too injury prone when you can grab Taylor, Kupp, Ekeler, Chase, or Jefferson in that spot.

So the guy with the top pick is looking to swap spots with someone. Any reason I shouldn’t swap out of #3 if he chooses to do so?

Getting Jonathan taylor would be a very good start to building a team if this is a redraft league.

I'm in a 12 team .5 ppr league and I'm picking 4th. Assuming Taylor, McCaffrey and Henry are gone, who are you guys taking? Ekeler, Kupp, Jefferson? Or someone I haven't mentioned?

I’ve got the 4 spot and the 8 spot. Considering going Ekeler at 4 and with the 8 spot league just going receiver heavy.

In my main 10-team .5 PPR dynasty league, I recently made a couple of trades:

Elijah Mitchell for a 2023 1st rounder
Josh Palmer and a 2022 5th (#46) pick for a 2022 4th (#37) and a 2023 4th.

Trading Mitchell was just an attempt to get out from under what I see as a volatile but valuable asset. I'm very deep at RB in this league and so was willing and able to cash out on Mitchell for a pick in a deep 2023 draft. The team I traded him to is good, so I can probably expect this will be in the 1.06 to 1.10 range, but it still seems like a good call. The other team initially offered the 2022 1.09, but I already have the 1.08, 1.10, and 1.12 and am not all that in love with this draft, especially after the top seven.

Palmer, quite simply, was not going to make my roster. We have to cut seven guys in this league and he was outside the bubble, so I put him on the blocks in the hope I could turn him into anything. The fifth I traded would have been my seventh and last pick in the draft, and so I was able to move up nine picks and pick up a fourth next year as well instead by packaging it with a guy I was going to cut anyway. Nothing special, but I'll take it.

I've yet again put a lot of faith in guys coming off of major injuries.

JK Dobbins and Michael Thomas.

It hasn't worked out for me before, I'm betting it fails yet again.

I was really on the fence whether or not to keep Michael Thomas in the RCF league with 7th round value. Ultimately decided to keep Herbert instead with (I think) 13th round value after seeing Thomas is dealing with another injury.

I don't think anyone considering Jefferson 1.03 is nuts or should be actively shopping the pick. Arguably the safest pick in the top tier.
