Burns & Oviedo had good nights allowing only 1 hit with 3 walks & 9 strikeouts over the 1st 8 innings of the game
I was monitoring the Akron game in the 9th as a Ducks win would clinch a post-season berth.
Cade Smith was struggling, he loaded the bases and walked in a run. So Kyle Marman was brought in. He added gas to the fire until Harrisburg hit a grand slam to empty the bases.

Akron still leads its division by a game over Richmond as the Flying Squirrels also lost tonight.
Akron is sending Gavin Williams to the mound on Sunday so it should be a good game to see.

Jones with three more Ks.

One is going in one direction. The other is going in another. Over the last three years over two levels, Jones has Kd more than 30% of the time. That covers close to 700 PAs.
 
On Saturday the CLE full season group went 2-2 with a run diff of +11 on the night.
This brings the group to 14-7 on the week with a +53 run diff. Yes, +53 on the week so far.
Now onto the Sunday games....

I got crucified by several posters here a year ago stating Jones was no longer a top prospect. What Valera is doing is eye popping. Please promote to triple A ASAP.
 
Akron pitchers are struggling with command today.
Gavin Williams made 39 pitches and did not get out of the 1st allowing 1 hit and 3 walks, walking in a run during it.
Reliever Randy Labaut has allowed 3 hits, a walk and multiple runs in the 2nd..

Currently Richmond is leading its game in the 4th.

I have no idea what the determination is for the 1st half title if Akron loses & Richmond wins today...

Columbus & Omaha have traded 7 run innings already today.

Clippers have pushed a run across in the top of the 7th to tie the game at 11...
