2022 NBA Finals

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was really surprised to find out that I hated Boston more than GSW. I’m not even sure I can explain it. Maybe the obnoxious and spoiled nature of Boston sports fans, in general? But Bay Area fans aren’t exactly championship-poor, and they ruined our chance at a dynasty. Maybe I’m just glad the season’s over?
Boston fans are either purposefully cruel (obviously unlikeable) or claim to understand sports misery (simply not true). Just bullshit all the way around. Bay Area fans aren’t really in your face, and don’t take pleasure in putting you down - plus there’s a a lot of divided loyalty between all the sports and teams, so there are local allies that’ll have your back.

Anyway, perhaps you’re simply glad the season’s over - OR - you, like me, find Boston sports fans insufferable and would prefer they not become even MORE insufferable.

Agreed…

I respect the Warriors now and appreciate the Cavs being in the ring with them so to speak…

To me the Warriors winning and really having a dynasty just increases the value of the Cavs title and the fashion in which they did it in all the more…

Like you see the core Warriors and how much they appreciate this title over Boston — that title last night meant more to them than the 2 with Durant combined — they value it more…Which to me symbolizes just how much it hurt them to lose in ‘16 and how that would have capped off that 73 win season and just been the ultimate in NBA HISTORY….

That team couldn’t care less about what they accomplished with Durant and it’s pretty telling…. Would have been the same in ‘19 if they beat the Raptors….But you can clearly tell that 2015 & 2022 are the 2 championships they value…

I will always hate Paul Pierce & KG more than the Warriors…

Eh 2 years ago they were in bad shape. You think this Warriors teams beats any of those Cavs teams with Lebron? I am not sure they could have beat the 18 team.

I'm happy for the parity in the league, but this was a weak finals.
I'm pretty certain the 2018 Cavs team would beat this year's Warriors.

The hyperbolic hate has subsided, but I could never like/respect GSW for crying to KD after the Cavs broke them. I realize that as competitors you look for any edge you can, but the Warriors flouted all principles of gamesmanship by going after KD and destroyed what could have been the best rivalry the league had ever seen.

If all of their smugness, swagger and bravado were genuine, they would have ran it back for the rubber match rather than respond with the most hilariously over-the-top stacked team in history to bully the Cavs as opposed to engaging in a fair fight.

The fact that pretty much everyone including the players disavows the '17/18 rings lends credence to that.

KG and Pierce have nothing to do with the current Celtics, while the core of GSW is still out there prancing and shimmying.

The biggest ‘what if’ in league history might now be ‘what if the Players Association voted for cap smoothing?’ GSW resigns Barnes, maybe Durant stays in OKC and Kyrie never demands out of Cleveland.

That GSW team likely disintegrates given their mindset after losing to the Cavs. Crazy to think about all the dominoes that’ve fallen over the years simply by not voting for cap smoothing. Probably cost LeBron his chance to match/exceed Jordan’s title count and he was a big part of the push against it. Irony.

Is that real?

There is nothing worse than Michael Bolton.

MAYBE Kenny G? Or Steven Seagal?

I love Bolton, not his music, but the singer. He doesnt take himself seriously. He was a heavy metal singer when a producer approached and told him if he became a crooner he could make him millions. Bolton hates the shit he sings, and I love that about him, lol

Frustrating. LeBron/Kyrie could've gone down with the likes of Jordan/Pippen and Kobe/Shaq as duos if they were patient with the Cavs and bided their time for this Warriors rebuild. They'd probably have a minimum of two more rings.

I hope KD's bitch ass never sniffs beyond the first round again and everyone asterisks his two rings whenever they are talked about.

That’s the good part of the narrative coming out of this finals. F*** those rings. For everyone involved but especially KD.
