2022 Rotation Predictions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Forgot about him. Hope he’s traded for a SF. If not, probably Osman’s minutes.

Garland+Neto should equal 48 minutes each night. I have no interest in seeing us without a PG on the floor.
I like for Mitchell to take some of those backup minutes until Rubio is ready……

Mitchell’s lineups without a PG in them have typically been very poor.

If there’s one thing the last few years have shown us, it’s that having an actual PG on the floor is imperative. Even if it’s just somebody to bring the ball up the floor and initiate a set, we need that.

This is what we have Cedi for

The issue with starting Wade is it severely constricts your big man depth (you only have Love and Lopez off the bench), and it also constricts your roster flexibility since Okoro, LeVert, Cedi, Windler and Stevens are all 2/3's who can't play 4, and Wade's minutes at the 3 'waste' several of your current 2/3's..

I say this also realizing he is one of the better options with the Core 4..

Considering what the Cavs have invested in Okoro and have an upcoming team option, they have to see what they have with him first.. I see Wade as a backup option should Okoro falter..

Love, Cedi, LeVert and Neto/Rubio are your rotation with Wade, Stevens, Lopez (and later Neto) being matchup/injury dependent bench guys..

The new lack of depth at the 4 is a point I hadn’t thought about. Wade and Stevens being versatile enough to play the 3 & 4 makes them both very valuable for us. Big guys are inevitably going to get hurt during the season. Playable/flexible guys with size are crucial

If Wade starts at the 3 doesn’t mean he can’t still see minutes at the 4 if Love Or Mobley gets ding up/foul trouble or Mobley slides to the 5 for a few minutes,…….Injuries changes everything anyway so it’s hard to predict ………
