2023-24 Playoff Series #1 | Game #6 | Cavs @ Magic | May 3, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There should be zero fears of JB still being here if they win. If anything, this series has exposed him as being an even bigger fraud than a lot of people thought. The fact that this Orlando team looks infinitely more playoff ready than we did last year is telling.

JB has absolutely nothing in his bag. Calls TOs in big moments and it's the same isolation shit we always do. Garland being abhorrent in clutch situations and Mobley's feebleness are always very damning. These are huge years for development of a young team and it's moving at a glacial pace if not regressing in areas.

The worst part is we are going to have no idea to what extent JB held this team back, so offseason moves that need to be made are likely to be further delayed.

This won’t be popular, but Mitchell has had no interest in anyone being a part of the offense in the 4th (edited from second half). I understand why he might feel that way… but he’s ignoring all motion that isn’t a high pick.
Why should he defer, when all they do is pass on open looks or fumble the ball away or pass the ball away like a hot potato until the shot clock runs out? There were plenty of opportunities for players not named Donovan to try to step up and ball out, and 99% of them weren't prepared to do that. Once Mitchell realized that, what other choice did he have?

Mobley is definitely not a center. He is a Duncan like player that would do very well in a motion offense as the "4". Iso basketball, nope, not happening

Mobley should not be in the same sentence as Duncan. Duncan is an extremely skilled offensive player. He was already a 20ppg player in his third year who the Spurs can lean on in iso situations in the post.

Mobley is an inept offensive player. I really have no other adjectives to describe his offensive game. The lack of reliability in creating his own shot 3 years in his development really throws a wrench to a bright future we once have.

If only he had even 50 percent of Banchero’s or Wagner’s bag, we are winning this series handily.

I wish

Neither Mobley nor Garland are at that level. Mobley's gonna be/is solid, but at his best, he's like a top-tier role player on a good team. Like between prime Tristan Thompson and Jaren Jackson Jr.

Garlands not built for the spotlight. He should head over to Detroit already and drop an easy 25 empty points a night. I wonder what a good coach could do for him but I'm over it.
Imo, Mobley's floor is Jarret Allen. When the Cavs traded for DM it sped up the timeline for Mobley's development, but he's still on track to be at least an all-star given the right coaching. His biggest weakness right now is that he is still a bean poll. teams can blow on him and he goes flying.

This isn’t his biggest weakness. His total lack of confidence on offense and inability to do anything with the ball in space consistently are his biggest weaknesses. He’s completely lost on one side of the floor.

To be fair to Evan, if Jarrett Allen were healthy I bet he wouldn't have re-entered the game after turning his ankle. He wasn't himself, but relied on quick hands and length to have any shred of impact.

Guys can complain about Mobley but tonight is not the game for it. He was playing on a bum ankle and still gave us some elite D. Any player who is a two legged jumper is going to struggle if they can only reliably put weight on one when playing around the rim

Again, I think you have to blow this shit up for a ton of draft picks and rebuild like OKC. This team cannot be salvaged even with a new coach.
Umm we can't do that when Utah holds 5 years of our 1st round picks/rights unprotected.
