At this rate, we're going to see Damian Jones play real minutes during this series. Might be worth it if Thompson continues to be useless. Two months ago, Jones had a season high 14 points and 6 rebounds against New Orleans in 21 minutes. In fact, he's only two years removed from his career high of 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks in 34 minutes against Houston while playing with Sacramento. A couple days later, also against Houston, he had 17 points, 17 rebounds and 6 blocked shots in 31 minutes.

As for Garland, his performance has been mixed, but he's had more bad moments than good. Too many turnovers and Mobley has been part of the problem because many of them have been working with Mobley.

Even if Mobley has a bad ankle it just shows he hasn’t developed enough offensively. He’s getting plenty of space to work, but has no moves, so just bangs and pump fakes. Floaters and hooks and jump shots. If you say his ankle is why he’s hesitant, then he needs to change his mind. Shoot 40 times and make two of them. We have no one else, sir.

Without Allen, Cavs lose their primary rim protector and Mobley can’t just read and react. They’re also asking Mobley for more offensive involvement and Bickerstaff says “he’s done a really good job.”

I'll still watch, but I do want the Cavs to at least keep this competitive. Not going to sit through another game one type of situation. I realize they don't have much of a shot against this Celtics team, especially with JA out again, but hopefully they can at least avoid embarrassment. We'll see.
