2023-24 Playoff Series #2 | Game #2 | Cavs @ Celtics | May 9, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Playoffs are a war of attrition. And also never like 3 pt shooting teams, they always go cold (except those GS juggernauts). I don’t expect Jarrett to be back, but it would be a huuuuge boost.

We’ve got Dean Wade coming back. If he’d have been in the British Army at Boston in 1775 Charles’s III would be our King.

I can’t wait to hear Brian Scalabrine at 700am tomorrow Sirius NBA radio. He has been FAR from confident Celtics won’t choke again this season despite their great year.

For sure. I think for a lot of us it shows the team is more competent than we feel like it is. A lot of people here wanna burn this team to the ground, but here we are in the EC Semis winning a road game against the 1 seed in Boston. It shows we belong in this space and maybe aren't as fucking terrible as all you super negative mothefuckers think it is. :chuckle:
Hey, I’m a prisoner of the moment and want to win it all again. So, pimples and warts can become magnified, but looking at the big picture, we‘re in a good spot, all tied up 1-1 and heading back to Cleveland. At least for a night, we can feel good and stick out our chests at work tomorrow….at least for tonight.

Hell yeah!

It also helps having the Donfather.

Fair to criticize a lot about JBB but he’s built a really good culture and these guys pull together when they need to. Maybe we can do significantly better than him but we could also do a LOT worse.
That’s kind of what Fedor said on his podcast today ; hence the ambivalence about him within the organization

Best news about tonight was I don't think anything flukey really happened offensively outside of Mitchell hitting a coupe more 3s than you would typically expect.

We had more turnovers than Boston. They got to the line a lot more than us.

Levert played great, but it wasn't one of his bizarro nights where he randomly hits a ton of jumpers. He drove to the basket with purpose and finished when he got there. He made a couple mid rangers, but the path to the rim is going to be available this series. Boston doesn't have the same length and physicality as Orlando.

What Mobley did tonight should be sustainable. He should be able to feast on whatever Boston is throwing at him. He's battling himself most nights. Get him a couple baskets early and let him go to work.

Garland was kind of in the weeds tonight. He hit some clean looks from 3 which he has done all year, but didn't bog things down with a bunch of dribbling. He didn't have any brain dead plays or wild shots that shift momentum like he's been prone to do. At this point, I'm not asking for hero Darius. I'll settle for tonight's Darius that hits open 3s and keeps the ball moving.

It's never been a talent issue. It's been an issue between the ears and in the chest. If they can finally start playing with some confidence....

Can't fire him unless you know someone better who will agree to coach the team.

Can't be like the Lakers.
