2023-24 Season | Game #28 | Jazz @ Cavs | Dec. 20, 2023 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mobley is kind of a drain on the offense and Garland has been hot and cold this season.
I need to see more games because I don’t see Merrill and porter are leading us to the promised land. But this team so far has so much more energy without the three These guys have rarely played together but look like they have. Garland. Mobley dm usually look like they met that day

They did it once already. Let's try it again

I think Mobley should really be working on his playmaking instead of trying to score so hard. He has great court awareness and could get easier shots if he would weaponize his vision. How many assists is he getting to shooters on the perimeter? He can pass anywhere on the court, I guess I'd prefer to see some of what we are seeing from Okoro right now. You are a threat as a scorer, use it to make a better play.

How Merrill played tonight at home obviously isn't sustainable but it certainly does go to show this team does have a decent bench.

It's just a bad look that JBB has basically overworked our starters to the point of injury before we get to January when he should've been giving some of these guys minutes.

This is utter bullshit. Congratulations to you for roping in two likes for your ridiculous post.

It was poking fun at the ridiculous number of 3s Merrill hit in one game.

Watching gunslinger Merrill in Summer league, i was curious if he could do that in an actual NBA game. He sure can, last night he looked like prime Kyle Korver, his movement in getting open is beautiful to watch. A guy with that shooting stroke needs consistent minutes, not to be buried on the bench. This just exposes JB even more that buried bench players are thriving when given a chance yet he wears his guys down by playing 7-8 man rotations.

Yes. I don’t see how an nba coaching staff cannot see the talent they have. Maybe it is lack of practice time but still. This is the nba. Scoring 19 and 27 consecutively is not a fluke. Not with that stroke

To me, the play of Merrill and CPJ highlights to the top heads of the cavs organization that JB has difficulty seeing talent (not sure how this is possible since everyone on this forum seen it) or he has some strange stipulations for talent to get on the court, either way even though he is winning this is a not a good look for him

It is imperative for Mobley to learn how to shoot and there are tangible signs that he is working towards that. While still early, he looks more comfortable taking a 15ft jumper, his freethrow percentage is trending up. I have seen less of multiple dribble isolations with Mobley this year. He is also working on play making more. Everyone wants to see a massive leap at year 3 but small incremental growth is still encouraging.

Garland on the other hand needs to be better. More shooting less dribbling/freelancing. If bigs dont show hard he has to pull that trigger. He is over penetrating and that gets him in trouble. He is playing like a rookie.

maybe a month just watching will open his eyes. He needs more three's less drives. Garland, DM, Strus, Diang and Merrill are 5 solid shooters.
