2023-24 Season | Game #30 | Cavs @ Bulls | Dec. 23, 2023 | 8:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Porter Jr would be untouchable to me as an asset, and he's on a 2 way contract. I actually think he can be really, really fucking good in this league. He plays with more maturity than Garland, if I'm going to be blunt. Not saying he's as talented.
Garland can get a little bit moody or emotional when things aren't going his way. CPJ, as a two-way player and rookie, doesn't have the luxury to ever act like that.

6 boards for Thompson in just 13 minutes. What a fucking maniac he is. Koby really nailed this off-season.

No one thought we'd address the backup center position, including me. And the price he got him at, TT may be looking to collect another pay day. Dude is really producing at a high level.

If I am the Cabs I make him another offer, make him like an Haslam for all I care...

Just watching him being interviewed, and he comes across as a veteran. Even his eyes have that veteran look.

Jarrett, Max, and our bench (minus LeVert, Merrill, and Jerome) just knocked off one of the hottest teams in the NBA in their house. Unbelievable. What an effort. It reminded me of when Golden State came to Cleveland last year with their top four players out and beat the pants off the Cavs. Hungry young guys getting a chance to play will beat you if you don't take them seriously.

This might be the most unexpected win of the year. I wonder what Garland and Mitchell were thinking as they watched this game. "Maybe we should share the ball more"? That's what I hope they're thinking.

If the Cavs hadn't gone 12-for-45 on 3's this would have been a blowout. I thought the ONLY chance they had to steal a win was to have an unusually hot night from deep, but they had an off night and still won thanks mostly to great defense and offensive rebounding. In their last 11 games the Bulls average 115 points but the Cavs held them to 20 points under that.

Second chance points were 30-4. That has to be a franchise record.

Allen was a monster with a line of 19/17/7. His offensive game keeps getting stronger. Porter had an amazing line of 19/7/8. What point guard gets eight rebounds? And Strus had 26 points and 7 assists.

What an awesome game to watch. I kept waiting for the Bulls to get serious, wake up, and make their run, but the Cavs never let them get going. The refs were giving DeRozan every break, calling fouls when he wasn't touched, but the Cavs just kept coming.

Yeah, I'm not hearing too many calls for either Stefanski or JBB to be fired lately.

I said it earlier in this thread...JBB gets the most out of players who aren't super talented, but have a lot to prove and will play hard, team ball every second they're on the court. That's why he exceeded expectations before we got Mitchell, that's why the team looks good once our stars went down.

Maybe that's on the super talented players? I mean, if less talented players do well playing the way Bick wants them to play whose fault is it when the super talented players don't play the same way?

If the playoffs started today the Bulls would be a play in team... LOL LOL LOL man the bottom of the East is such hot garbage...

Couple of fun stats from the Recap:
  • Strus, Allen and CRAIG! combined for 22 assists. The highest combined total for Evan Mobley, Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland on the year is 21 assists.
  • The Cavs finished with 28 assists. This was their 11th highest assist total on the year. Of the top-11 highest assist total games, all the last 5 games are within that list. With less iso play, and more free-flowing offense has ensued.
