2023-24 Season | Game #39 | Bucks @ Cavs | Jan. 17, 2024 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seems like some people are getting cranky without a Cavs game tonight. I'll just throw this in:

A talented and deep frontcourt has never been a problem, it's an asset and the clearest path to a deep playoff run.

Look over at the Timberwolves this year... some folks were wondering how to keep Gobert, KAT, and Naz happy preseason. People worried KAT would complain about a smaller role. Nobody is complaining now that they are in first place in the West! Winning is the ultimate locker room presence.

Looking back at the loss to the Knicks, I came away wishing the Cavs had more spacing from three point shooting and a third bigman. As the Knicks rotated their frontcourt to stay fresh, the Cavs played Danny Green as backup power forward preying they wouldn't bleed points. I'd just be happy for some frontcourt depth rather than complain about details.

This team with Niang, Strus & Merrill are much better shooting wise than last years team. Danny Green ? The fact that he played speakes volumes
TT does add some physicality inside.

This is a young team and last year was(hopefully) a hard lesson. How many years did it take MJ to break through too playoff success. It takes times for teams that do not have a "winner" on it...to learn how to win in the post season.

This team better have a chip on its shoulder come the post season.

Who knows how they will play. A similar egg laid will result in multiple changes... coaching and DM will be gone

We will see

We willl be a different team heading into the playoffs this year. Strus, Niang, Merrill, & TT are upgrades. We now know Wade couldn’t even lift his hand above his head at the end of last year, so, even though he was on the roster, he’s like another addition. Plus, we have assume with another year together we’ll have better chemistry and our young guys will be one year better. We could get another bad matchup and get bounced in the first round, but I don’t think there’s much question that we are better positioned going in this year than last.

I'm honestly concerned about it more than anything. When Garland comes back our defense will get worse, Mitchell and LeVert have to adjust their games to his presence, Merrill won't play every game and CPJ won't see the floor anymore.

When Mobley comes back our spacing will go away again, and Allen will have to adjust to his presence.

I'm not looking forward to the adjustment period.
Scary thought. That's where I am with it.
