B1G West definitely going out with a bang.

We need Iowa to lose this weekend, both for the culture and for a 3-way B1G East tiebreaker scenario...

I wonder if Michigan goes back to a more run heavy attack against PSU. They haven't been as efficient this year in the run game, but they've annihilated every team they've played and JJ McCarthy has been great. PSU has good corners and an undersized interior DLine. It will be interesting to see if Michigan can still be a dominant run team.

Hopefully PSU comes fired up to play. They will need to play far better than they did against OSU to have a chance against Michigan.

Hey guys I'm pretty sick and it's hard to read through it all, can someone give a succinct rundown of what happened and will likely happen? Initial punishment seemed weak but now it looks like um fans are pissed and what may come is ominous

Sorry to read that you're sick.

Harbaugh has been suspended by the Big Ten for the rest of the regular season. Can still participate in practices but not on gameday. Seems like this is just preliminary, and that more potentially is coming down the like as the full investigation develops.

Michigan is pissed because the investigation isn't complete, but saying that something isn't complete is not the same thing as saying you haven't yet confirmed anything. More like you just haven't confirmed everything.

Doesn't look like the NCAA or the conference is backing down at all, and Michigan seems to be spoiling for a fight.

I think they'll end up regretting that.

U.m. now files tro and gets out of this though right? Then we have to wait for the ncaa to conclude their investigation?

Been dizzy for a week, need a neurologist:/ will be fine

No - a TRO literally is only good for 14 days, and that doesn't mean there aren't aspects of this we don't know that may change the legal calculus. Like I said, they might come down with a punishment that includes penalties that would create federal jurisdiction, and keep this out of the hands of elected Michigan judges. We here may not be aware of those things, but I'd guess the B1G is. Michigan lawyers going up against Northwestern/Chicago lawyers is a heavyweight fight. Like I said, I'd be surprised if the B1G will end up at the mercy of Michigan judges. Just have to wait for this to play out a bit.

If they all go 11-1 and beat each other, then we get to like the 11th tiebreaker which is conference records of the teams you played in the other division.

PSU - Nw, Iowa, illinois
OSU - Wisconsin, Minnesota, purdue
Michigan - Nebraska, Minnesota, Purdue

Right now PSUs opponents have a 1 game better record than both OSU and Michigans opponents, but that can all change the next 3 weeks
To this end, it’d be good for OSU today if
Indiana beats Illinois
Maryland beats Nebraska
Rutgers beats Iowa

But most importantly, Wisconsin must beat NW.

Psu offense looks… exactly how I expected lol

Penn State’s offense is so boring and unimaginative. Mike Yurcich absolutely sucks.

Damn, Penn State needed to get that fumble. They will need multiple turnovers to win this game

Penn State QB play has been awful since Hackenberg

We should get Optimus in here to shit talk PSU. Would guarantee a win
Haha yes, I drew inspiration from him with that post.

His shit talk would be kinda accurate for PSU though :chuckle:
