So, Kole Calhoun has made $51 million in his baseball career. He could live anywhere now and do anything he pleased.

He chose to ride busses in AAA at age 35.

You know, I would choose the same thing, if I had the option or any skills at all. Damned ballplayer to the end, that's what he is.

Calling Laureano a scrap heap project might be a little harsh. From what I can see he plays a good OF with a great arm. Occasionally he can hit the long ball. Nothing wrong with having a 29-year-old RH OF on the team. Unless there is a dramatic addition, I will pencil him into the 24 lineup.

I wouldn't read too much into what the A's do. They've made some awful decisions lately, like the Murphy trade. Milwaukee must have a mole in their organization.
