2024 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fleming leaving just as he's finally about to be a top 2 guy is an odd choice.

I guess the analysts are so high on the QB out of UCLA because he was a true freshman?

I get that.

Dillon Gabriel though, to me, is the premier QB in the portal as far as college goes.

I understand he might be eyeing Mississippi State though.

Will Howard after that.

All of this feels a bit dirty but it was inevitable.

Coaches making millions a year and leaving whenever they want no matter their contract situation was only gonna be a one way street for so long.

Im just not sure it's a given that Fleming would be a top 2 WR for this team next year. On big games they gave him alot of snaps but he was also the guy they took snaps away from to give other guys opportunities. He could probably go be a #1 somewhere else but I don't think he is realistically the #1 for us next year. I think there is a realistic possibility that he just comes back to the exact same role as last year. They sold Xavier Johnson on a new role to stay and they used him just the same if not less than last year.

I posted something like this earlier but I think it will all even out. Guys will move programs and we will pick up some guys in areas of need. We will also benefit from some players coming in from lesser programs or non power 5 conferences, I'm not sure we have even seen that wave yet. Like guys who were under recruited and shine at the college level will eventually want those same NIL deals and to showcase themselves at the highest levels for the NFL draft.

Like is a player like Kahlil Mack staying at Buffalo all 4 years in this era, I would see him transferring out and cashing in without having to sit out a year.

Can't imagine he gets drafted but makes sense he wants to move on. Wishing the best for Miyan

Can Ryan Day enter the transfer portal?
I love the Day haters. I was in that camp last year. Unfortunately McCord was a big reason why we lost to Michigan this year. He didn’t improve throughout the year like all other Day mentored QBs have since he got here.

I doubt Fleming would be #2. Too much talent behind him and he is still way too inconsistent.

Any chance that Dante Moore is the transfer in the portal to us? Brandon Innis with an interesting tweet.

So what about when Kyle McCord was backing up CJ Stroud, the guy having the greatest rookie QB season ever? Who do I blame for those losses?

Kerry Coombs and Ryan Day for hiring him in the first place.

You know, if I looked at this season in a vaccuum, I'd say Ryan Day did a really good job playing to his teams strengths. Kyle McCord was a weak starting QB and he tailored the offense and the tempo to play more towards the defense. And a really close loss to Michigan was just about as well as this team could do.

But it's not in a vacuum and this loss came after two prior wherein we had some of the most offensive talent ever assembled on a college football team and got beat down.

And the defense? Line?

Day. But unfortunately those last two have clear asterisks next to them in regards to Connor Stallions. Look what OSU did to UGA last year. Can’t say we weren’t physical enough against them… you don’t teach toughness in 30 days. As of now I view Day as 1-1 against Michigan. Michigan was the better team this year and had the better QB.
