2024 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is there a rotation player to be had at 23-30?
There is in every draft. Just need to know how a player fits into your scheme.

From 2019-2022, there were 52 picks made in the 23-35 range. Quickly glancing through the drafts, these names stood out to me:

Jaden McDaniels, Claxton, Bane, Herb Jones, Poole, Keldon Johnson, Aldama, Pritchard, Andrew Nembhard, Sharpe, Quickley, Grimes, Jaylin Williams, Jovic, Cam Thomas, Peyton Watson, Tillman Sr, Nas Little

That's 18 players. A 35% hit rate of snagging one of those types of guys. Probably some I'm missing as well. Seems a lot higher than I would've anticipated, to be honest.

He’s old but Baylor Scheierman would fit in nice with the Cavs. Was impressed by him tonight. Does a little bit of everything and plays his butt off

Some more deep diving trying to get 50-100 prospects loaded.

Two guys stand out in that first pool of players:

Alex Karaban

Baylor Scheierman

Scheierman is pretty interesting.......he has great data and he just moves really well. He doesn't have plus vertical athleticism, from what I see but laterally and with the ball, he's a natural looking athlete.
Reposting. Love that the data matches the eye test with me. Scheierman gives off some taller Strus vibes.

Larson from Arizona is not flashy with an amazing upside. But damn will he make you pay if he js left alone and he is smart and plays within himself. Just enough size and athletic traits to be a role player on a playoff team , maybe even a starter if he maxes out.

Watched da Silva play today vs Marquette. He looked good. Stood out more than Williams to me. Was active defensively and disrupting passes.

It will be interesting to see where we wind up finishing with all the injuries. It’s very possible we wind up with 18 or 19 at this point, which would put us in range of some guys we never thought would be available to us. Not excited per se, but maybe a silver lining.

As much as this team needs a wing, Kel'lel Ware would be an amazing fit if he happens to be around. Big, athletic, strong finisher, good vision, and has shown the ability to shoot the ball from three. He has a really nice-looking shot already. Could potentially be a guy that plays with JA or Mobley, or a long-term Allen replacement. Would certainly add a new dimension to the bench.

I'm not against adding a 4 because you just play wade at the three exclusively.

He's probably more of a 5. Either way, I think he has the athleticism and shooting ability to compliment Allen, Wade, or Mobley.

Hes the one im thinking about most as well. From tape i think he's not as laterally quick as Allen (vertically really pops), so he would be more of a drop guy, someone like Myles Turner. Which is totally fine if he isnt switchable all the time, that shot looks really good.

Theyre saying his previous years he was really inconsistent and had effort questions. Thats not ideal, but if that makes him fall into later first round territory - great.

My only issue with him is the lack of strength. He was pushed by some guards even sometimes. We know Frobley's issues, so.

Anyway, still if we can have a legit spacing 5 we should be all over it.

The kid from Duke can shoot. If we trade Garland you will need someone to ba k up Porter JR who also has potential .

I’m not saying the Garland trade is going to happen but I think the team will listen to offers . Therefore a shooting pg who can play alongside Mitchell and Porter JR in different combinations Is something to think about . If they do get a wing back for Garland then that opens up the draft to more options imo.

Gonna keep saying it. If they shake up the roster and give Porter Jr the pg keys I want to look at this kid in the draft to pair with Porter to share pg duties.

Imagine flipping Garland for a real wing and still having pg play between two guys with promise thst is a combination of play making and shooting who could also at times play together. That is the big picture move this franchise needs!

Haha damn . Imagine if that guy had his life together . He could have been a really good nba player for us at a needed position. and a huge part of the current succèss…

What a damn shame he threw away a 10 to 15 year nba career for himself and his family

Tristan Enaruna is a name to remember. 6'8, 220, CSU Grad, got the invite to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament

Played at Kansas for 2 years, avg about 10 MPG there.

This year avg. 19.6/6.5/2.7 1BLK, 1.2SPG, shot 50% from field, 32% from 3

Looks like and plays like Tobias Harris, minus the 3PT
