Yeah, this will play. A lot of red. Kwan is one of the few outliers for low exit velos and hard hit rates that exist in the game right now while maintaining success.

His numbers are going to come down, but he is posting far and away his best quality of contact numbers to start this year. xwOBA has gone from .312 as a rookie to .317 last year to now .353 this year. Big jump, and he keeps doing this what he is doing is sustainable at a high level and we're going to see his best year in the bigs yet.

Along with outliers Gimenez, Ramirez and J. Naylor

Just wondering out loud, but do you have different stats somehow? FG has Kwan with a 339 xwOBA. Point still counts, but you also had different xwOBA for Rocchio, so that's why I'm asking

Be excited. Have fun. Having high expectations and then saying "I don't expect 2 wins vs the evil empire" is a little controversial, but that's OK. Me, I'm fairly certain our weaknesses are going to get exposed when we start playing good teams and all the cheerleading will turn into childish like crying. So when you get to that point just go back and reread my posts where I say things are going to get better soon and that they are already improved at C.

He sure is and that 85.5 EV screams hitting the shit out of the ball. After all his EV from last year was only 86.0.

I hope you guys are reading me wrong. I'm not mad or angry or disappointed. I think what is happening is just a part of the process of building a good MLB team. I do get a kick out of all of your emotional outbursts and slights though. It's like I said something about your moms or something.
You're craving attention.

I mean, if the only measurement for "hitting the shit out of the ball" was exit velo, sure.

Kwan's hard hit %, barrel %, launch angle, sweet spot %, XBA, XSLG, XBA are all up.

He's attacking the ball, and hitting the shit out of it. As far as Steven Kwan is able to do.
How is his hard hit % up if his overall EV is lower than last season's?

He's making a lot of contact and getting the barrel to the ball. He's not hitting the shit out of it unless you correlate that with frequent contact. That's fine if you do and if we're talking in that sense then yeah, Kwan is hitting the shit out of the ball.

What are we talking about here? You're just arguing because of the turn of phrase. He's hitting very, very well. And it's not just frequent contact. It's frequent quality contact.

The announced crowd was 12 thousand and change.. Come up to the park and join us.. those new blue seats look nice (we didn't sit in them we didn't sit at all).. oh.. and

BALL GAME !!!
Probably would have got a few more thousand in the seats if the threat of rain and Cavs games wasn’t at the same time…..

Jfc guys.

I know the first run scored in extra innings is unearned.

I’m simply pointing out the White Sox scored a run with the bullpen pitching.

Wham said “no runs” not “no earned runs”.

Boo, with the day off today was going to watch some minor league action, however 3 games are cancelled with only the Akron/Richmond remaining. Lets see if how long Nikhazy can keep his hitless/scoreless streak going. Maybe tonight is the night DeLauter's bat fully awakens!

Game on!
