Well, Virginia Tech is winning in this poll.

Fuck Boise, I'm sick of seeing those bastards getting all this hype. The only good team that they have played in the passed two years in the regular season is Oregon, other than that their schedule is a cakewalk. So what they do is they add VaTech and drop Oregon. For them to get my respect they are going to have to schedule two ranked teams on their non-conference schedule. Not just play one ranked game a year and whip the pussies in the WAC.

Hokies win 28-23.

They've won BCS games, back to back years. Haven't lost a game in like 3 years, they can only control who they play in non-conference, and they play every good team willing to play them.

No team has the balls to play a tough game in Boise besides Oregon, and it's not their fault the WAC sucks cock. When ever they needed to beat a good team, they have.

They haven't won BCS games back to back years.. They lost to TCU 2 years ago and beat them last year.. Which is stupid. Don't see the point in having 2 non BCS teams against each other in a BCS bowl. I guess they fear blow outs.

lets be real there is no incentive for anyone to really face boise. if you beat them everyone says "who cares" if you lose everyone says "you freaking lost to boise st, whats wrong with you" there is obviously something wrong with system, but why the hell would any team WANT to play boise st?

That said boise has to get up for maybe 3 games a year... tops and that includes their freaking bowl game. the rest of their schedule is absolute cake. Ill grant you that not everyone has a tough out of conference schedule but any team from a major conference has more big games in-conference than boise st has all year. the physical and mental toll to do it week after week is something boise st doesnt have to go through, which is HUGE advantage.

should boise be treated as a red head step child, no. but they also arent a top 5 team.

This is just a great game, BCS intensity in the first game of the year, can't ask for more than that.

For some reason I thought the OU game was 2 years ago.

We'll never know how they'd do in a elite conference so it's not even worth discussing.

wow that call was awful

eta: 1:09 is a lot of time, gogogo 33-33!

What an epic fucking game.

All I got to say is teams play to win. It's not Boise's fault teams are just bad. Got to love a team that plays with heart, dedication, and intensity every play.

Completely disagree with your statement about them not being a top five team since they are undefeated dating back to last season and they only lost 2 starters total. Your blaming them for their schedule being to easy, but the reality is that it is not their fault. Teams are afraid to play Boise because they know that they are a mid-major school that can beat them. When Boise first entered the D-1 A (now FBS) ranks their original conference stopped participating in football (Big West Conference) so they were invited to play in the WAC. Since Boise entered the WAC it has been dominate, but in order for them to leave, one of two things would have to happen. A.) Another conference can invite them into the conference or B.) They could go Independent. Economically, it would not make any sense for Boise to go Independent because they would not get as much publication and it would cost more money for their programs. Recently, the Mountain West Conference extended an invite to Boise, which they excepted and will be a member for next season. The thing is until recently, nobody offered Boise to enter their conference so they were stuck in a holding pattern until an invite was given.

did you read my post at all where i clearly said the system was to blame?

Yeah. I guess thats why we play USC, Miami and have deals in place to have Oklahoma and California on the schedule in a couple years.
