If Kyrie Irving comes out the debate is over IMO. Jones is a freak but has yet to prove He's the franchise player we're hoping to build around.

Irving seems a lot more ready to make the big step. However this is assuming we have the first pick, if we have the second pick I'd be happy with either guy left.

Perry Jones tonight on ESPN.

What: Kansas vs Baylor
Where: ESPN
When: 9:30 EST

Prediction: Let's see what you got Perry.... prove me wrong, dominate the game!

Thanks man, I'll make sure to check it out.

Yeah I have to echo what others have been saying. We all know chances are good we won't get the #1... Kyrie Irving first, then maybe PJ down the road... If only we had two top 5 lottery picks :chuckle:

While this draft might not have a clear number one, maybe that's a good thing?
If we draft any of Irving,Jones(x2),or Sullinger in the top 4,they'll be great pieces to add to NEXT year when it's supposed to be one of the most stacked draft classes in a while, where we'll be picking in the top 4 range again.
Kyrie Irving and Austin Rivers backcourt :fingersx:

He definitely has the highest upside in the draft but he also is a big risk.

I've watched a couple of his games, he shows flashes but the dudes on his team are hot garbage. He has a bunch of upper classmen that freeze him out of the offense it's disgusting. It's like they know all eyes are on Baylor because of Perry and are trying to get some shine for themselves.

You can sort of blame coaching for that because you'd have to think of dudes at Texas were not giving Durant the ball they'd be rotting on the bench.

Either way next year is the draft to do damage, so hopefully we get Irving Jones or Sullinger and strike it rich next year as well being a young team.

Jones is definitely worth a look on Big Monday tonight. I also mentioned Gilbert Brown from Pitt who's on ESPN right now in a current rout of the Syracuse Orange as a possibly pick in the late second (OKC).

I am a sucker for a tall athletic player that can do it all but there are too many question marks with Perry Jones. Superstars/franchise players have a certain "it" factor to them. So far I haven't seen anything from Jones to tell me he could lead a team. It could change but he is obviously the most talented player on the Baylor squad but he is not being used properly and not demanding the ball when his team needs a bucket.

Chris Grant at the Baylor V Kansas game.
Glad to see he's doing something:dunno:

ESPN just showed Chris Grant in the house at the KU/Baylor game.

been watching for 5 minutes perry jones has not gotten the ball. I want to see a ball hog like the queen

now a left hand put back looked like the real deal

He seems pretty passive out there but it also seems like they are misusing him. They have him sitting under the basket and setting picks and pretty much nothing else. Coach is wasting a talent if you ask me.

As it has been touched upon by Young and I, Perry Jones is completely misused in the Baylor offense. He doesn't see the ball and is essentially phased out. Grading his draft potential based on his Baylor play is like judging Brandon Jennings based on his Italy film.
