A Look Inside the Dysfunction of the Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was presently surprised by that interview. I didn’t know he was the type of guy to be the last to leave the facility.

I just have to think he has a better situation on another team that needs more receiver help. We aren’t stacked by any means, but Juice, Hollywood, Callaway, and Perriman are a pretty diversified portfolio. That article that they really got much better in the 2nd half of the year makes me think that we are just going to add depth at that position, especially with Njoku looking primed to break out, and Chubb/Duke effective out of the backfield.

But it does sound like Pryor grew up a ton, and I wish him well. I bet he finds a home that’s a better fit than the Browns.

The Browns are finally on the right path. And this hit piece about what dysfunctional mess we've been hits out of the blue.

Someone that was once part of the organization, is looking for some payback. And has an ESPN buddy that did him a favor.

I can take a pretty easy guess where this is coming from.

It reminds me of when Believeland came out right before the Cavaliers won the championship. ESPN has always gone and done a one last f*** you towards Cleveland.

I know many hate Joe Banner but he's insinuated a lot of the stuff that was written in the article. He said before Hue was fired that it was Haslam who had the final call, hence why he waited so long to fire him. Haslam overruled everyone for some reason, probably because Bill Parcells or someone told him to hire Hue.

Remember that Banner's real choice was Dan Quinn and Mike Lombardi kept bringing in guys that turned out to be duds as coaches like Greg Schiano. Haslam wanted to have an open search, Belicheck and Urban Meyer both recommended Schiano. Look at OSU's D last year, I think Banner was right....

Banner's worked with Haslam and knows what a buffoon he is. As long as Dee Haslam is around keeping him in check, we should be OK.

I have a close family friend who was a VP at Travel Centers, which is a direct competitor to Pilot Flying J. He said Haslam is a hands on guy who has questionable business ethics (which we now know). He's been offered by Haslam to go to games in the owners booth but hasn't gone because he knows what kind of guy Haslam is. Haslam is the biggest impediment to the Browns future success, we have many good things in place.

While a lot of that is true from Joe Banner. I can tell you for a fact that he's also quite the shyster as well.

It's pretty well-known that Banner will negotiate, then try to lowball before the contracts signed, despite a negotiation where people on both sides felt the offer was agreeable. that's not just with players i might add.

Personally, I would fight that little troll i would in a heartbeat if i ever had a chance.

Who said he was a headache? I know earlier in his career he had that reputation but I don’t remember it since he turned into a WR

Joe Thomas says in that interview that him and TP got to know each other well because they were the two that stay the latest. He said if they had more guys like TP, they might have won more games.

I don't think he is a fit for us now. One of Pryor's best attributes was that he knew Hue's offense better than anyone else so he could line up anywhere and knew the timing/routes. He can be a mismatch with his size and speed at so many spots and he can be a constant variable in the offense to keep the defense on its toes but he needs to know the offense so well to be utilized that way.

Pretty sure that when informed that he was assigned the "emergency quarterback" role, Pryor said something like, "you don't pay me to play quarterback, you pay me to be a WR."

That's part of why he's a headache.

I see people outraging about this on Twitter.

I.... think it's fine?

Like, why would I wanna pay money to a publication that just made me look like an utter fool.

And on the flip side, it shouldn't deter ESPN or any other publication from writing this kind of stuff. It's a risk you run, but you'll find other sponsors.

:dunno:

Oh if I was Dorsey I would do the same, but I would also look within on what I did that is true in that article.

The point is Heehaw and Deehaw hit ESPN in the pocket book in response. While I may not think they are great owners. It's their right to do so especially after a slam piece like that is put out.

I actually like that he’s doing this.

I’m tired of ESPN always pushing narratives. Especially right after Browns fans feel good about themselves and feel good about the future, that shit piece came out.

Don’t get me wrong, Jimbo is an idiot. But in this case, I’m glad he decided to go scorched earth on them.

Seems like a great time for some Baker bashing from ESPN.
