Re: Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

Will be a complete zoo in Philly if Bynum is playing again by Friday, Nov. 8 for the Cavs game in Philadelphia. :chuckles:

I chose to do the preview for that game for that EXACT reason :chuckles:

If he's gonna play in that game, better believe it will be a Bynum-specialized preview

Re: Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

Bynum, Varejao, Thompson, and Bennett.......Drools....then wakes up from a dream where they are all healthy

Re: Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

Watching Thompson make that 15 footer today just makes you wonder how good this team could be if everyone stays healthy. Everyone seems to be working their ass off to improve.

Re: Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

Almost makes ya feel bad for Philly fans...

Except they won a world series in 2008, stole Jim Thome from us, and have a NBA trophy from the 80's.

You really can't though. They will be in the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes, if not the favorite.

Re: Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

Hopefully his knees arent as bad as everyone says. Maybe he just wanted a year off

If that were true, Bynum wouldn't have refused to workout for potential suitors. By doing so, he left money on the table.

Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

How did Bynum go from not being expected back till like January and now it could be October 30?

Because there was no way of accounting for any unexpected setbacks that might occur. That's why there was no set timetable for Bynum's return. Think of it like a checklist...if he could do activity X without any complications, check it off and move on to activity Y and test again. If he can go through all the items on the basketball checklist without problem...he's ready to play in games again.

But that's why it's hard to predict his return. Each new basketball activity he progresses through offers new opportunity for a setback, and then we're back at square one. Heck, I'm still not confident he's physically able to play, and won't be until he finally shows up in a game. We still don't know if some kind of problem can pop-up after 5-on-5 practice, like what happened to Oden a few days ago. I think that's why the Cavs are being extra cautious and careful with him.

And besides, it's always better to have low expectations and exceed them than the other way around.

Cant feel too bad for em. They might be the dumbest fanbase in sports. But at least they're passionate.

I put Philly fans in the same general category as Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Detroit, and Miami Heat fans.

In other words, nothing unfortunate that happens to them is bad enough to warrant me feeling bad for them. Their fans are trashy and completely and utterly classless. Fuck them and their "passion." They've seen a Super Bowl appearance, an NBA Finals appearance, a Stanley Cup Finals appearance, and two World Series appearances (including one win), and numerous division titles and playoff appearances by all of their sports teams, within the last thirteen years.

Something tells me they'll be just fine. In fact, I sincerely hope that Bynum comes back and drops a 20/20 game on them.

Re: Bynum Inching Closer To Returning

With news of Bynum closer to returning, I'd love to see Brown match up most if not all of Bynum's minutes with Bennett and/or Karasev. Love the way both of our rooks can stretch the floor, it's so valuable in today's league specially when you have a low post presence like Bynum.

Apparently I didn't put enough emphasis on the word 'almost.' :chuckles:

Yeah, almost.

But then you remember the fact that they are Philly fans, and it's all good though.

Let's get physical, physical.

Looked much better in the video tonight shown during the game than I expected at this point. Potapenko was pushing him.
