As far as trade destinations there are only a few places that seem a fit. The cavs im assuming would want an expiring deal to preserve the pipedream.

Some ofthe teams that might want bynum to actually play him

Utah: trade for jefferson and use him to mentor favours and kanter (already have beidrins)

NJ: home state, trade for pierce, fill a gap in he middle

Teams that might want bynum to waive him

PHX: trade for okafor, save 6 mil

BOS: trade for humphries save 6 mil

If anything happens i will be amazingly surprised mike brown has a major hard-on for him

I like these ideas

*Warning Fantasy trade alert* but why not deal Bynum and Clark back to the Lakers for Pau and Xavier Henry? Sure the Cavs take on some money this year but both those guys would fit and are also expirings. Better do it quick before Bynum's knee explodes.

D'Antoni told the press last season that he hated "bullyball" and didn't like postup play. Not exactly the kind of words that make the Lakers want to take Bynum back.

Then again, for the last 5 or 6 games, the Lakers have been running more postups for Pau and Kaman with their 3 PG's out of the lineup. So, maybe there is a willingness to concede by D'Antoni.

They may be willing to deal Pau, but I doubt they will give Henry away. Especially if they're not sure if D'Antoni even likes Bynum or wants him. They'd probably just let Pau's contract expire instead than give up Henry.

Oh come on now. Trade him, bench him, cut him. The guy has one bad game and this thread goes off the deep end and is ready to get rid of Bynum to save an extra $6M. Give me a break.

Per 36, he's averaging 15 PPG, 10 RPG, 2.1 BPG, with a 15.6 PER, and he's continually improving from the beginning of the year with increasing minutes. We could have only dreamed he'd be able to do that back when we signed him, AND this is ONLY 31 games into a season where he hadn't play in over a year and had multiple surgeries. He's no where near his full stride yet.

Bynum, and the team, will hit their stride by the end of the season, slowly improving over time, so get used to it. And when that happens we'll truly, and finally, be a playoff team again -- the post-traitor era will finally have arrived.

And that will be the best present of all. Merry Christmas.

I don't know, I just get the sense that he's not hungry enough.

Most of the shots are rushed and he doesn't have proper defense or movement.

Perhaps he's gotten sick of the bad weather and lack of activity in Cleveland? He maybe preparing to move out of Cleveland into a different city? His attitude is surely not helping us.

Those stats are all well and good, but they don't really mean anything. He has struggled to make shots all year, and his shooting percentage is very low. He doesn't box anyone out, and his defense has been atrocious.

Currently, he brings nothing positive to the game for us.

Consider me all aboard the trade him train. He was never a part of our future anyways, I'd rather player Zeller.

Why do feel the need to lie to us?

The stats don't lie. Just the facts.

In this case, the stats are lying. He hasn't been good by any stretch.

The entire team has not been good by any stretch....but they will be. It's simply going to take the entire season to get there and those that say we should trade someone because of a bad day, or after just 26 games (just like I saw when Kyrie had the "0" day) are fooling themselves into thinking that a single player makes a difference over the short term. It simply doesn't happen that way.

Take a look at the Pacers team and their game against the Heat. That's what we will become in few years IF we stay the course.

Dude, it s ok. No one is going to think less of you if you retract that comment.

that's pretty bad for a guy making $12 million (the lack of efficiency behind those numbers).

I know it's a small sample size, but here are Zeller's per 36 minute numbers - 14.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, .600 shooting (vs Bynum .415), PER 17.1. Bynum takes 6 more shots per 36 minutes to score 0.8 more points. I gave Zeller's numbers because Zeller is the guy Bynum is keeping on the bench.

Bynum gets a bunch of great looks. He needs to start making them at a reasonable percentage. Bynum has shown flashes of the player we want him to be, he had a 4 game stretch of 20/10, 14/7, 20/13, 18/6. We won 3 of those 4 games. The game against Portand he abused Lopez to the point where they didn't start Lopez the 2nd half and only played him when Bynum was out of the game. It looked like he was getting his game back, I don't know what happened after that. He needs to find that again, and he really needs to do it soon.

The only reason he's averaging 15 points per 36 (which, I should point out, is just ahead of Zeller and just behind Miles) is because he's attempting a career-high 15.6 shots per 36. Yes, you read that right. He's actually shooting the ball 15% more often than he was in his All-Star campaign with the Lakers! And people are saying we need to feed him the ball more. Absolute madness.

that's the key problem we're having with Bynum right now. We're trying to cram 36 minutes of production into 24 minutes of paying time and defenses are defending it that way. A few more minutes combined with a few less total shots limey makes him far more effective.

I would have no trouble with his poor offense if he was being a solid defensive presence and a good rebounder, i dont think he has been either, hes blocked a few shots but his defense has been very underwhelming

feeding him the ball is supposed to set up the offense but it doesnt do that if A. the offense doesnt move into the right position or b. Bynum forces the post move with no outlet.

both are happening. Theres three guys on the team who actually consistently get in the right spot when bynum has the ball. Waiters, AV and Thompson. Everyone else is lost. Kyrie blamed dion being in his way. Dion got moved and still kyrie doesnt get in the right spot unless the ball moves through AV.

also funny is the people bynum works best with outside of thompson are the ones he gets the least time with
