Yeah we should give Sarunas a deadline and make sure Z and Marty have been talking to him and stuff, If he pisses around any longer we are going to miss out on Daniels Watson Jones Stoudemire Walker Rahim Marshall and many more players..it's not hard you wanna start you cant do that in Indy, you want 3 a year you can get that here, you don't like plying against ur friends, you will be with them here. what is the flipping holdup?

I doubt the Cavs have any interest in Walker. I really wouldn't trust something coming from his agent who is looking to get the biggest contract possible.

I would have more interest in Shareef but the Cavs haven't shown any interest yet.

All signs point to them looking for a PF who is more of a rebounding, defensive minded player. These two don't fit that description.

Don't worry about what Walker did in Dallas


i didn't bring up the Dallas issue as a bad thing, i said his shots per game went down and his assist totals were solid because he tried to fit in with the other players. i think he would do the same in Cleveland.

i agree Walker isn't the ideal fit but he does average 8 plus boards per season compared to Gooden's 7 plus.

I can't believe all this sentiment for Antoine Walker. Hasn't anybody followed his career? He's another Ricky Davis, a cancer looking for another body to latch onto. He shoots the ball too much, without much success to show for it--from outside the arc, from inside it, and from the free throw line. He handles the ball too much, with al lot of turnovers to show for it. And he defends like, well, Gooden. Ferry is too smart to touch Antoine.

We won't get Walker my friend who talks to tons of ppl daily said it's nothing more then a hi how ya doin, his agent is just trying to pressure other teams to offer up and get teh fattest contract he can, it's nothing more then what we did with like 20 other players..

I hope Walker here is just rumor...he doesn't make his teammates better at all. His A/T ratio is a career 1.3 and falling (1.0 on his return to Celts). And his obsession with the 3 pt shot I don't get, 26.9% when he was on Dallas with a bunch of other scorers. You think it's frustrating when DrewDrew jacks up 3s? ...it would be so much worse if Antoine Walker was here. I agree we need more toughness from the PF position, but a fat arse is the only thing Walker has over Gooden. He's definitely not your lunch pail PF.

We should be trying to find the best fit with the 4 spot, not the best player. Its not about stockpiling talent, its about surrounding LeBron, Hughes and Ilgauskas with players tht make this team work on all facets.

I dont mind Walker, but there is no use for his talents here.

Update: Walker's agent Mark Bartelstein says that his client has had conversations with the Cavaliers about joining the team, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Recommendation: Walker averaged 19.1 points and 9.0 rebounds a game last season with both the Hawks and Celtics. Any Cavs' deal for Walker would likely mean the end of Drew Gooden's career in Cleveland.
