Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trubisky misses so badly at times — like to humorous degrees. He throws yards behind his receiver on simple crossing routes/flats and it makes me chuckle. Dude definitely channels his inner-Bortles at times.

Bortles is a really good comp for him. Main difference is that Trubisky has an awesome coach who is getting the most out of everyone on offense.

Bortles is a good comp. and similar team setup with a dominating D resulting in little needed from the QB but basically not losing the game

I was thinking Flacco is a good comp for Trabisky.

Maybe Mitchell will win a superbowl because of the defense and get be lucky enough to get vastly overpaid.

These game managing QB's like Trubisky are depressing. I rather be stuck with the Colt McCoy's and Kiser's of the world than the Flacco's, Trubisky's, and the Stafford's.

Because the latter you're stuck with, and the former you can get rid of and try again at least. Sure, lighting can maybe strike in a bottle like it did with Flacco that one season and win a super bowl. But that's like buying a lottery ticket. Especially today.

In today's game, the odds of the Bears actually winning it all are so low. That kind of era is fading. Sure, they can get up for a game and maybe beat a Rams team on any given Sunday.

But the odds of them actually then going though the Saints next, then Pats/Chiefs are pretty low.

Wentz has been less than stellar this year.

Could be due to losing Frank Reich and John DeFilippo, could be due to shaky pass protection, could be due to coming off the injury...either way I think Baker has done more with less recently as a rookie in comparison to 3rd year Wentz.

My thought also. I've eaten my crow with regard to Wentz, but he's been pretty bad recently.

Last night wasn’t exactly a master class in quarterbacking for Goff or Trubisky.

Would like to see how Mayfield handles the cold this weekend.

He was money in WVU a couple years ago when I was there. Little different with Von Miller and Chubb on the ends, though.

Good test.

Yesterday, it was 28 degrees. The high for Saturday in Denver is 54; low 29.

Damn, I just assumed it would be shitty I guess.

Most people seem to think Denver is a really cold city. It's not. It's a relatively mild climate where you can drive and get to the mountains. But the actual city / downtown area is incredibly mild.

One of the more underrated weather cities really......as you can enjoy skiing 4-5 months out of the year while it only being 40's during the day in the winter time.

Sorry, what are we talking about in here? Oh yeah, the best QB we have had in our lifetimes. :chuckle:

Anyone else ever expect to get this type of weather analysis in the Browns section?

This is why Baker is great

I'm skiing an hour outside of Denver on Thursday, and it's supposed to be a high of 17. Two days later in Denver and it's 55. Crazy.

Goddamn that not good air coming over from abroad
