The more Cowherd talks about Baker, the more clicks / listens he gets from Baker fans, the more Baker's stock rises amongst casual fans.

It's a win-win for both parties and Baker is equally as good at playing troll to Cowherd's comments. They BOTH know what they're doing.

I might be one of a dozen people on the board that got that reference, talk about obscure, but The Jerky Boys are all time favorites of mine.

Mainly because I too was known for pulling large pieces of furniture from my ass, but they were also funny.

TMZ sports has proven to be kind of legit on reporting rumors, and Cowherds odd hate of baker is one of the more interesting things to me. Its funny and very entertaining.

I won't give him the clicks, and that's bullshit anyway. He's just trying to cover his ass for his petty attacks -- in which he believed completely at the time -- that now look more and more ridiculous as time goes on.

That kind of thing works in the very short term, but it ends up eroding your long-term credibility in terms of other things you say. And it's a card you can only play so many times before it loses its impact, and you're stuck with the effects of eroded credibility in terms of everything else you say.

So I'm guessing that's what he may be seeing, and why he's now trying to rewrite history. He's getting some extra clicks whenever he says something stupid about Baker, but it may be hurting him otherwise.

So fuck him.

What's so beautiful about this is that Baker is really a vindictive S.O.B.. If you say something negative about him or his team, he will internalize it, use it as motivation, and never forget it. That's part of what makes him so successful, and it is a great competitive trait. So I think whatever attempts Cowherd makes to repair the relationship/makeup, Baker won't have any of it.
